Sunday will mark the first time in 40 years the Green Bay Packers have played against the Rams at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, one of the nation's more hallowed sporting venues. The Packers last met the LA Rams there in 1978, two years before the franchise relocated to Anaheim Stadium and then to St. Louis from 1995-2015.

In 1978, the Packers were coached by Bart Starr, and quarterback David Whitehurst threw three interceptions as the Rams prevailed 31-14 in the final week of the season to finish 12-4

I can't speak to heart, but yeah, I think he fits this scheme. If he's soft, steer clear. However, Peters had a terrible reputation in run support too. He's not a guy I would call soft. I'm sure the Rams have enough intel to make the call there.

Sadly all my jersey/swag money got sucked up this year with emergeny gall bladder surgery. So maybe that's why Jersey sales are down

I have a 55" Sony 4K and I really like it.

My GF bought a 65" LG OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode), which is - right now- state of the art.

Of course, the size differential makes a difference... but the detail between the Sony 4k and the LG OLED is kinda of hard to tell.

OLED boasts blacker blacks, which is supposed to make colors brighter (contrast). But, most times - even in 4k - it's hard to tell.

Oh, and the curved screen? Gimmick you pay extra for.

Each person has their own sensory levels.

As far as audio, I have the same system I built years ago and I still love it.

I'm old school, so it's all wired.
* Yamaha Receiver (can't remember model #, but it was one of the best when I bought it about 5 years ago... still does a great job... most all the external devices run through it and it's pretty seamless).
* Klipsch subwoofer (I like to feel the bass when I watch a movie or listen to miusic and this does a great job)
* Bose center speaker
* Medium JBL fronts (on stands)
* Small Polks as surround (back)

When I had laminate flooring installed, I had them run the wires under it, so it's basically "built in" but the speakers are free standing.

I've heard soundbars and they're OK for TV... but, if you want to really get immersed in the sound/music and feel it, you need a system still.

I think the Bills have the quickest chance of a turnaround.
As for the Raiders, their locker room must be a fun place with team morale so high(sarcasm).
Of course it is fine to look into future seasons realistically, but it feels like their season is already over. Technically it is, but what a defeatest attitude.

Malcolm Brown may not deserve his own thread but his numbers in a backup role are impressive this season thru 7 games.

Guys remember the part in my OP where I stated that my classmate how he just could not get it that the ONLY reason i went to the Rams/Chiefs game in 85 was because i wanted to see the RAMS? He was clueless thinking I went to that game because i wanted to see the Chiefs. He actually thought i gave a crap about the chiefs saying to me-Hey Im really sorry I didnt go to that game with you,how about next week when they play the Broncos,how about we go to that game? I then remember saying to him- Man I hate the Broncos.

I dont know why he thought I went to the chiefs/rams game to the see the chiefs,i kept saying the whole week to him i was excited to see that game because the RAMS were in town,that I always wanted to see THEM. He could not grasp it that I was not like everybody else that grew up in kansas city who all rooted for the chiefs because of that. I can understand WHY initally he would think i went to the chiefs/rams game because of the chiefs but he STILL thought that even AFTER i explained to thim i only went because of the rams.:rolllaugh:

I really don't think they will fire him yet, John Lynch has too much pride and he's a Stanford guy so he thinks he's the smartest dude in the room. Other than the brief Harbaugh years, this franchise has taken such a dramatic turn south. They screwed up by getting rid of Eddie D. If you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin'. As much as I despise the 49ers, I respected the hell out of Eddie D. because all he wanted to do was win--no matter the cost. Now Jed is an analogy to what is wrong in California. Just a fool with his head in the sand. Sorry for the brief political banter but this state is f'ed up.

How good are the Rams? Are they 16-0 good?

It has been many weeks since there was any doubt about the Los Angeles Rams being the best team in football.

We should start asking if we’re seeing a historically good Rams team.

The Rams dismantled the San Francisco 49ers 39-10 on Sunday. They’re 7-0 and already have a plus-107 point differential. While it’s not exactly a 2007 Patriots-type start, considering they were challenged by the Seahawks, and the Broncos technically only lost by three (a late score made the game look a lot closer than it actually was), what we’re seeing out of the Rams is pretty good.

Los Angeles can win with a pass-heavy approach or on the ground. Todd Gurley has scored a mind-blowing 14 touchdowns already, and has more points on the season than the Buffalo Bills. The defense, especially with Aaron Donald getting hot, has had its moments of dominance. And the special teams will be better now that kicker Greg Zuerlein is back from injury.

It’s a little early to start talking about an undefeated season, but the Rams are the only team that can give us any 16-0 speculation. They’re the only team left without a loss. Is 16-0 possible? The Rams have the ability to beat anyone, but stringing together 16 in a row against this tough schedule will be very, very hard:

Week 8: vs. Packers
Week 9: at Saints
Week 10: vs. Seahawks
Week 11: vs. Chiefs (at Mexico City)
Week 12: bye
Week 13: at Lions
Week 14: at Bears
Week 15: vs. Eagles
Week 16: at Cardinals
Week 17: vs. 49ers"

If the Rams can somehow get to the bye undefeated, running the Aaron Rodgers/Drew Brees/Russell Wilson/Patrick Mahomes gauntlet, they have a chance. But that’s asking a lot. Also, games at the Lions and Bears won’t be easy (an L.A. team in Chicago in December is never a great situation), and even though the Eagles will play in L.A., Philadelphia beat the Rams in the same spot last season. It’s incredibly hard to believe the Rams would be able to avoid a loss through those seven opponents, though if they do the final two games should be wins.

It’s OK that 16-0 isn’t a good possibility. A game at the Superdome in two weeks looks like a candidate for the first loss, or perhaps it will be against the Chiefs in one of the most entertaining regular-season matchups ever. An undefeated regular season isn’t the Rams’ goal anyway. Just because they’re the best team through seven weeks doesn’t mean the Rams will win a Super Bowl, but they’re the clear favorites right now. They’re positioned well to at least get the NFC’s top playoff seed, though that game at the Saints might go a long way in determining it.

It’s still quite possible we could see a 14- or 15-win Rams team if they catch some breaks and stay relatively healthy. They’re good enough to make a run at that kind of record. And if nothing else, it’s going to be fun to watch them chase some history.

Aaron Donald had four sacks and six tackles for loss on Sunday. He also had an absolutely incredible play in which he simply took the ball from 49ers running back Matt Breida for a forced fumble and recovery. Imagine how good the Rams are going to be if Donald is hitting a hot streak.

All I know is that Greg Z. gave me comfort and confidence in all of his kicks. They weren't even close to failing, and looked rock solid going through the uprights....
