I’ll remember this one.

Nice post but my question is what good fortune are you referring to?
(Full disclosure, I didn't see the game, just highlights.)

If you get to see the game…..keep an eye on Ref #91.
Whiners had her in their back pocket, but we were able to overcome her blatant bs calls.
Towards the end of the game, the refs had a 1-2 minute huddle regarding one of her flags. It was luckily, and rightfully, overturned.

Bell had a key drop at the end of the game, forcing the whiners to punt..

Gameday Menu Thread

I had road life left overs. (Not as bad as it sounds but pretty plain)

Oldest geriatric pug tore out a toe nail and needed to go to the emergency vet.

Took longer than originally expected and missed out on our weekly In & Out burger experience.

M-wife micro waved a burrito.

Little Pippa has had a rough year.

Poor thing looks pitiful. I don't think that I remember knowing you have a pug. My memory isn't what it once was though. LOL

Did I ever tell you that I used to have a pug named Blade (after Jim Everett). My pug Blade was fat... unlike Jim... the irony was funny to me.

Keys to a Rams upset tomorrow

Its pretty simple. Stop the run. Without Kittle and Deebo Purdy won't have as many easy throws that get yards after catch. They'll want to run more. They have a big back who runs downhill. Let him consistently get 5 plus yards and its gonna be a long afternoon. The key to stopping the run? Tackle the guy. Something they had trouble with the first two games.
Ever notice how much the 9ers throw in the games they choke away? Usually they stop running as much when the games gets tight, but they came out throwing yesterday. Head scratcher. They had several good runs, enough to keep pushing the Rams’ D down the field, but they just insist on shooting themselves in the foot.

When Reeder made that TFL, it was their last chance to finally stop the run.

Fuck the NFL!

In the 4th quarter, Stafford ran the ball and got a mild push out of bounds. I didn't think much of it until a bit later, Purdy got a mild push while in bounds and flags went flying all over the place until the refs finally realized that Purdy was in bounds when he got pushed.

And on the play where D. Robinson caught the ball near the goal line and ruled a catch. Rat boy challenged and it was overturned. What pissed me off was Robinson got totally mugged and the defender never even turned his head to look for the ball.

And that was after the refs kept calling ticky tacky holding and PI against the Rams.

Going well / Not going well

I eat pineapple on pizza. At first I hated it.
Now brussle sprouts, I tried to eat them as a kid and threw up. Well, I was kinda forced to.
Since I do not eat mayo, mustard, ketchup, vinegar there is nothing you can do to get me to eat them things.
Can't sprinkle enough powdered sugar on those turds.
If you persist you will find yourself hog tied in a fishing trawler off the coast of Florida with the choice of eating brussel sprouts or going into the drink with a cement slab on your feet.

Gonna be an exciting finish for wild cards

Baltimore is in great position despite doing everything possible not to be. But the Royals, Twins and Tigers (yeah the Tigers who tried to trade away all assets at the deadline) are within 1 game of each other. Plus Seattle is just 2 games away. There are 4 teams fighting for 2 spots.

In the NL the three teams in position are within 2.5 games and the only other team is the Braves, who like Baltimore are doing their best to eliminate themselves. The biggest question is what's the order going to be? #4 will get the Brewers but #5 and #6 have got to play the Dodgers and Phillies.

A few notes on 1st half of Cards game

Missed Tackle %
33.3% Tre'Davious White
28.6% Kobie Turner
27.8% Christian Rozeboom
27.8% Kamren Curl
27.3% Braden Fiske
25.0% Michael Hoecht
25.0% Byron Young
25.0% Desjuan Johnson
15.4% Jared Verse
14.3% Bobby Brown
12.5% Quentin Lake
11.1% Troy Reeder
11.1% John Johnson
0.0% Cobie Durant
0.0% Kamren Kinchens
We can gripe about Reeder and Rozeboom all day, but the DL comprises 7 of the top 10 on that list. Yes, I see both LBs names as well, but ILBs are gonna get pushed around if the DL doesn’t eat up blockers.

Does resting our starters in preseason contribute to injuries?

What good is the replay booth if they don’t look at a play like that and confirm it looks like a hip tackle, sounds like a hip tackle, smells like a hip tackle - by golly it’s a hip tackle/call down and get it called.
It at least should be a fine after the fact even if the play wasn't flagged. Take 50 grand every time a guy does it and it will stop.

GAME DAY TNF - Patriots at Jets

So how did Zachary Thomas do, saw he was out there and announcer mentioned him.
Totally forgot about him, the offensive line of the Patriots was very bad, their LT was not very good as Brissett was under duress all night long, until he gave way to Drake May on the last drive of the game. So if Thomas was part of the Pats OL, they did not play well at all last night.
