We're in 6 seed by week 14

Let's hope that the o linemen that weren't good enough to be first string or even on the team at the beginning of the year can gel under kromer. Without the oline playing really well, Goff will not earn his money this year. We go as the oline goes. The other pieces will be spinning their wheels. Kupp, Gurley and Goff can't succeed without them. Pretty simple really. "Thanks Capitan obvious" !

GDT: Bills at Cowboys

Bills players mock Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott after win

The Cowboys are known as “America’s Team,” so other NFL squads enjoy piling on when Dallas is struggling.

As such, when the Bills went into AT&T Stadium and destroyed the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, Buffalo’s players made sure to let their opponents know about it.

Dallas scored a touchdown on its first possession, but it was all downhill from then on, as Buffalo dominated throughout, jumping out to a 26-7 lead midway through the fourth quarter. Not only that, a few of their players rubbed some salt in the wound in the game’s waning moments.

Bills defensive linemen Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson mocked Ezekiel Elliott’s signature “feed me” celebration.

To help fix this mess the Rams are in what would you guys do????

I made a list in another post of the things I feel McVay can improve on and still stick to those. And what we are seeing now is one of those elements where you wonder what is the standard. "The standard is the standard." As I mentioned it is all over Rams' park. But right now it's just a slogan, just empty words. I mean hey, let's allow guys to eff up all over the field without sitting them for half the season. Let's reward them with loads of time off when they don't perform. Way I see it at least you just can't do that in a competitive environment and expect sustained excellence. You cannot. That is a cancer cell that will devour a roster from the inside. And you cannot argue that the depth guys are the reason for not sitting some of these guys who stunk it up, because that does not change the fact you have to hold players accountable for not performing no matter who they are. That is, after all, how you actually enforce a standard.

But anyway. I'm a little irritated because this past game has a ton of quit in the film. And I fear this team is going to crumble. Getting them to finish strong, if it happens, will be McVay's finest hour IMO.

Ramsey and Marcus

The more I think about the Peters trade I think it's the Rams playing the long card again.

They aren't sure if they are going to be able to keep Littleton - a guy that I love. Loved Peters too.

They liked Kenny Young + they weren't bringing Peters back + they saw Littleton likely getting a big price tag and bringing back whatever Peters may have brought back in compensatory picks.

Weddle and his loyalty

Goff needs a good running game in order to be effective. So does almost every other quarterback
I see this a lot.
In the Ram system, he does.

It would be interesting to see Goff in a spread the field, 4 wide, full time shotgun, go fast no huddle like he ran in College.

kinda like the offense that Watson, Mahomes, MURRAY and others operate.

It’s fascinating to me to have watched him become a Pro Set, 11 personnel, play action passer because he HAD NEVER BEEN THAT BEFORE.

Questions Going To Rams vs. Ravens This Monday Night

what kind of marriages are these people in? how can a wife say no unless it's for financial reasons?

if i tell my wife i'm going to the game she says "have a good time" or "take the kids with you".
Shitty.
When the ticket is free (for the second guy), it's not for financial reasons... it's for bitchy reasons. Both of these women are a-holes.

on the bright side

Seriously, the o-line is looking better with Evans and Edwards. I still think their positions will be reversed in the off season. Evans is built like a OG and the Rams have seen enough of OG's playing OT with Havenstein. Edwards is built like an OT.

Whit's age is really showing. Next year it will be Noteboom. Allen will return and be better in his second year as a starter. People denigrate his play but even with his mistakes he's shown he's better than Sullivan. Corbett has looked good at LG and I think it's his job to lose. That trade with Cleveland for a 5th round pick is looking like gold right now.

They have improved the run attack by gap blocking. The coordination of the RBs and the o-line isn't there yet but will be much improved next year. The Rams look to have a pretty good o-line next year with:

LT Noteboom
LG Corbett
C Allen
RG Evans
RT Edwards

Swings Havenstein, Brewer, Shelton

All the swings can play OG and if the LT goes down then Edwards shifts over and any of the 3 swings can play RT. Or Evans shifts over and Brewer or Shelton play RG.

This season they still can get into the playoffs if they run the rest of the table. This team matches up well the rest of the season so I think they can go 11-5. Once in the Post Season they have as much chance as anyone of getting to the SB as they will be a tough out. This makeshift o-line is gaining experience and confidence. The longer they play the better they will be.

In the secondary Hill remains the weak link. They need to play Long now. It's going to be his position next year anyway, so start him now. Yeah he will make his mistakes but I'm tired of Hill's struggling. He's not a starter, a good backup yes, but not a starter.

I'm surprised at Christian who is playing lights out at safety. Time to sit Weddle and play Rapp and Christian. Ekubam out played Mathews, and continues to show he's an impact player. He needs to start over Mathews who showed he's not a complete OLB like Ekubam is. Samson is faster, and stronger at the POA. Go back and look at Clay's sacks and they have all been gimme's setup by AD, Brockers and others. Mathews does not set a hard edge and teams will run right at him. Time to give Ogbo more snaps as well. He's not going to grow on the bench.

Jared simply needs to stay focused and make his throws. Once he gains confidence in his o-line his play will improve. Yeah IMO on the bright side there is a lot to like about our team, now and into the future. The time for the young guys is now. No more need for high priced over the hill vets.

McVay and Snead need to turn the young dogs loose.

Snitches Get Stitches

I think you answered your question in your original post. It applies to the culture that surrounds the definition of snitching. Even the fact that the reference for turning someone in is called snitching refers to the culture that term is used. What I mean to say is there is a difference between snitching and turning someone in.

I don't pretend to know the conditions in which you were raised, or what you were taught as a child. However, I can go out on a limb and guess that not becoming a snitch was a positive thing. You didn't get hurt, your family didn't get hurt from retribution, and a family member or friend didn't got to jail either. That culture is very different than a citizen witnessing a crime where they were totally uninvolved and not reporting what they saw and heard.

The popular theory is that if citizens aide the police in turning over criminals by telling them what they witnessed or heard, your community would be a better place. The police can't be everywhere. Citizens could use their voice to be a deterrent to crime. I think you know this theory is hardly proven.

To some it's about survival. To others it's merely to do the right thing.
