Stafford will be a difference maker – L.A. Rams offensive film study with Kurt Warner

If McVay no longer feels the need to be yacking into the quarterbacks ear immediately prior to the snap, that will definitely improve our offense. Stafford can read defenses and once he gets McVay's system down I look for him to really shine. Opposing defenses knew Goff would get rattled under pressure and they were right. Conversely, Stafford could feast on blitzers and make teams pay. With the infusion of new talent on our O, blitzing Matt may prove to be dangerous ... Our O-line should be better this year, (addition through subtraction). We look to be a tough out ..

Older than dirt or still wet behind the ears???

1998 for me.

But my Dad has been a Rams fan since the 1960s, and he passed it down to me, along with an intense hatred for the Niners. I was born in 86, spent two years rooting for the Packers because as a 10 year old, I couldn't understand why my Dad put himself through being a Rams fan (only memories are the 90s, so, I didn't realize that the Rams had recently been good).

But my Dad took us to some games in the mid 90s which chipped away at me being a Packers fan, and eventually I watched a game with him at a sports bar/cafe and got hooked in 1998.

That was actually J.K. McKay. (John Kenneth)

2021 Schedule Release Wednesday May-12 | Rams Schedule Prediction

I am really looking forward to even preseason this year. I'm always excited just to watch football but quickly want to push past it after a game and a half but I'm genuinely excited to watch all three of these games. Not sure if it's because we didn't have one last season or just because I'm really excited to see our backups and rookies play. Will be really fun watching Wolford and these rookie WRs/TEs play along with seeing what youth on defense will step up and claim a spot. Is it August yet?

Me too. Preseason is awesome TV watch. It’s fun to focus on individual play, rookies, etc.

I think this team is about to make a run that spans more than one season. IMO we're going to have two outstanding seasons in a row starting this year. Once that's over, though, it'll be time to pay 9 and we'll see how that affects things.

But 2021 and 2022 are poised to be epic. Like GSoT epic. At least that's what it looks like right now through my win colored glasses.

It looks that way. If things materialize as they appear on paper, by say... week 3.... we should have a pretty good feel for the makeup of the team.

Rams Roster & Jersey Numbers (1 - 99)

Sweet. Gonna take a little bit to get used to these.

New punter obviously isn't a threat to Hekker if they assigned him #13, lol.

Desean thinks he's still got the juice to wear #1.

Like the classic old school numbers for E Jones (MLB #50) and J Funk (RB #34).

Woods at #2, like it.

Akers # 3 getting in on the new relaxed number rules, too.

Lastly, SJD seems like the "class clown" type, always cracking jokes. I bet he chose that # on purpose...
No thoughts on Darious Williams?

SoFi Stadium launches tour program

SoFi Stadium launches tour program

SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams, is officially launching its tour program, SoFi Stadium Tours, to the public on Saturday, May 22. SoFi Stadium Tours is an immersive, behind-the-scenes experience that takes guests on a journey though the creation of SoFi Stadium, the largest stadium in the NFL and one of the most technologically advanced buildings in the world. The tour also puts attendees in the heat of the action, showcasing what it feels like to be a player on game day.

Guests on a SoFi Stadium tour will be able to run through a player tunnel onto the field, check out Rams and Chargers locker rooms and even test their football skills on the field. Inspired by the NFL Scouting Combine, some of the on-field tour challenges include running the 40-yard dash, attempting a field goal kick and testing passing prowess. Once an attendee completes an on-field challenge, they will be able to compare their statistics to those of professional football players.

"SoFi Stadium Tours will give visitors an inside look into the making of SoFi Stadium and a chance to experience game day from a player's perspective," said Jason Gannon, managing director, SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park. "Our goal is to create extraordinary experiences for guests each time they visit the Hollywood Park campus. Our tour program is one way we intend to deliver on that promise."

Tour attendees will also learn about how the stadium was built and dive into the building's cutting-edge technology, including its already iconic dual-sided videoboard. They will also be to experience some of SoFi Stadium's most premium seats and suites, as well as visit the stadium's team store, The Equipment Room. The two-story team store features Rams, Chargers and SoFi Stadium gear, with some items exclusive to The Equipment Room.

SoFi Stadium partnered with Legends, a premium experiences company with expertise across merchandising, sales, partnerships, planning, technology, and hospitality, to operate SoFi Stadium Tours.

DeSean Jackson's injury history 2018 through 2020

Yeah I have a feeling DJax isn't gonna disappear this year. The quality of this wideout group, I just think he will be at his best so it's going to be interesting to see what that is. He's fallen so far off the radar in recent years that nobody expects much from him. Really it's a sneaky good signing in that way, lots of room for surprise.

And hell even if he does disappear we still have two young guns duking it out for the slot job in Jefferson and Tutu. What a huge difference from last year knowing we were going to have to endure Reynolds. Competition is gonna sort shit for us there no matter what, that's for sure.

Who is the most underrated player on the Rams right now?

I have to go with Havenstein, even on ROD he is under-rated and under appreciated. Yeah he gets beat a few times by speed guys but so does every T in the league. He’s great in the run game and mostly he’s been steady.

He was injured and missed 7 games in 2019. Other than that, 3 games before he took over in 2015, 1 game in each of 16 and 17, I think the last game in 17 where everyone got the week off.

I’d be more than happy with a guy like him at RT every game. In fact, I wish they were all as reliable as him.

Rams return Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey, but questions remain for defending No. 1 defense

Love Staley, but there's a chance we overrated his impact.

First, last year Ramsey had his first full season

Second, McVay was more involved with the defense last year

Losing JJ probably hurts - but Burgess has the ability to play the slot CB position, which means we can have some better disguised looks.

We just paid Floyd so he has to get better at rushing the passer. Our ILB will be better - either Kiser stays healthy or Jones comes in.

We need the following unknowns to happen to be better than last year:

Burgess be an average safety
EDGE opposite Floyd to step up and be average
Robinson to be a stud against the run
One CB to step up and be average

That's not asking for much and IMO all happen along with ILB being better. We won't be better statistically because we're going to blow some teams out but they'll be better come playoff time

Have the new uniforms grown on you?

I think part of the reason a lot of us are so disappointed with these uniforms is the ridiculous way they dragged out the release of these things. We had to wait for like 2 years for these things. It would be almost impossible to live up to the hype.

The Bengals announced they were getting new uniforms and then released them a few months later. They aren't anything mind blowing but everyone seems to like them just fine. Probably because they didn't spend 2 years dragging it out and driving everybody nuts. Seriously... One day releasing the colors, one day releasing the logo, another day releasing the uniforms, only wearing some of the uniforms for a while until finally they break out the yellow pants. We still aren't done either. They are supposedly releasing another uniform this year and another one next year. Why? The chargers did all theirs at once and everyone loved it. It annoys me just to think about how this whole thing played out.

Miami Trading #3 to.....SF

And again, this internal secrecy was deliberate. As Shanahan pointed out, in the past someone jumped ahead of him because he was loose with who he liked in the building.
You seem to NEED a narrative to be believed by us here. And I suppose we are supposed to buy in because some whiner fan says it's so? :ROFLMAO:

The idea that the Whiners kept it a secret so that no one would jump ahead of them is cracking me up. They could have shouted it from the mountain tops and Lance would have been there AT THE #3 OVERALL PICK. There was no freaking way the Jags or Yets were going to swoop in to grab Lance.

So go on with your bad self if you feel the need - which you clearly do. Just don't expect Rams fans to take the word of a whiner fan over everything else they've heard and what ACTUALLY makes sense.

Rams Bros podcast with Jourdan on it

a) we can't know how other teams saw Tutu, so that would have been a gamble.
b) we don't know if the Rams desired anyone besides Tutu. Based on getting DJax and then drafting his clone, sure seems to me like they did target Tutu.
c) I don't care how many picks the Rams had, it's entirely unlikely they were gonna draft an IOL short of having like 6 picks in the 7th round. Which means no matter how much we wanted an IOL (and trust me, I'm still mad at my friend for his Broncos drafting Meinherz), they weren't gonna do it.
d) to repeat, based on the "traits" mentioned and bringing in DJax, Tutu WAS their guy. I know, I know... WE don't want that to be true, but it sure seems like it is.

It's one thing to have ideas about how the Rams should have drafted. I know I do.

But when we conflate our ideas with fact or how the Rams' FO valued players, that's just fantasy.

We're totally allowed to have our takes. The difference is that our takes aren't the Rams' takes and they aren't fact, "the truth" or anything other than our opinions. That's it.

All we can do know is to root for the players we traded for, signed in FA, did draft and sign as UDFAs as well to collectively come together with the coaches to win a Super Bowl.
Yeah totally agree it's my opinion on how I would have went about it, but I'm not Les Snead for sure lol. I'll definitely root for everyone we drafted to be successful regardless of me feeling like we could have drafted a bit better.
