I gotta be honest, I'm a bit antsy

Anxiety is excitement without the oxygen. Who said I wasn't enjoying it?
My kids are the same way. Two of them won't watch games because they can't handle the pressure. And I tell them the same thing, that you have to embrace it and enjoy the drama of it.

You mentioned you have the mental strength of a kitten when you're watching games. I wasn't knocking you. Just observing that the answer to me seems to be toughening up mentally so you can get the full enjoyment of it.

IF that's already the case then ok. Carry on with all that. :clinkingbeer:

Reaction of Cardinal fans

hmmmm same as it was round these parts for the whole month of November

Yeah, there was plenty of griping here. But I don't recall anyone wanting to trade Stafford and fire Snead and/or Mcvay. Those people are talking about what they can get if they trade Murray for a taller quarterback. And some were calling for the coach and GM to be fired.

I have to wonder what the mood woulda been here and over there if the teams started something like 2-1 and 4-2 then 6-3. Expectations were high for both teams after 7-0 and 7-1 starts.

SNF - Saints at Buccaneers

You're asking a backup QB to either make a precision pass or come off his first read in a high pressure situation, with his first read being a player he has locked onto all night. It wasn't a smart play call. Hundley had burned GB when Baltimore spread out the defense and let him make quick decisions with the ball or use his legs to find openings. That's what you do there. Spread them out, let him look for a quick throw, and if it's not there, you let him run/improvise.

Know your QB's tendencies, and play to his strengths. That was a point I made last year when people were jumping on Goff for that deep shot against the Jets to Everett. He had Kupp open underneath, but we called a play where his initial read was a one-on-one throw to Everett deep. Knowing Goff, he was going to take that shot unless a safety slid over the top and took it away. You can't be surprised as a coach when a QB doesn't fight against his tendencies in a pressure situation. It's your job as a coach to know his tendencies, know his strengths, and make a call that plays to both.

I wasn’t asking anything. I just noticed that he completely missed the free runner who should have been his 2nd read.

Agree that the call was a bad call for the QB and the situation

Your Favorite Sports Announcers

Well, ouch. Someone sure holds a grudge. Enjoy.

Aint nobody got time for that shit.
Sorry if I touched a nerve. But he was an alcoholic who used his celebrity status to expedite his medical procedure, presumably at the expense of someone without his public status. And he was vastly overrated as a PBP man, due in part to his prime years occurring during the NFL's peak period, IMO. I've seen another post in this thread referring to his biased commentary, also. If you refuse to acknowledge that, that indicates you just don't want to hear it.

Kurt Warner breaks down Stafford vs Cardinals

Okay, lol 4 of the "not so sure" responses on one post in this thread??
I said a lot of things. Are you not so sure those were my opinions? Not so sure about all of it? That's hard to believe. Surely you guys must agree he was amazing for us and that things shouldn't have went down that way or that the team around him was amazing.
Leaving a not so sure to a bunch of opinions is like saying "screw you".
- "Okay. Why?"
"Just because"

Jake Funk designated to return

Agreed with you and Merlin and a few others that this O is clearly better with Michel. Really hope McVay can see this and doesn't try to overthink things.
Is it better bc of rb change, or is it better bc ever since Michel has been the only rb, McVay has changed his plans and has actually been sticking with the run game? When Hendo was the back, it seemed like the run was an after thought.

Kupp Route Running

Kupp has gotta have the quickest feet in the league. He may not win many 100 yard dashes but he changes direction as quick as anyone ever has. Not to mention his high IQ. He's gonna be a damn good WR coach one day. And eventually head coach. He's that smart when it comes to football.
Agree. He has that Faulk approach to the game. A complete understanding of the entire picture.
