I'm gonna be pissed if McVay doesn't have his ass on his staff the day he retires.
Was a weird tackle, fwiw. His foot looked like it stuck and the knee tweaked.Man, now we are literally going to have to rely on Akers getting back to full speed and spelling Michel with some Funk.
I'm basically done with Hendo. He is so fragile. What did he have, one carry yesterday and messed his knee up? Keep Michel, drop Hendo.
You think that's bad? Remember a few posts above where we discussed Stafford vs Mahomes? Well I started Mahomes. On our fantasy site (fleaflicker).
Then, I wasn't watching the game realtime, so i couldn't look at the site (spoilers), but kept saying "Thank God I didn't start Stafford", as he had a horrible game (ended up with 13 points.
Then after the game, when I caught up, I checked the site and IT SHOWED STAFFORD STARTING! It reverted to a previous lineup one other time this season, but I won that game by 50 so it didn't matter. I was actually hoping Mahomes had a horrible game so it wouldn't matter and I wouldn't want to jump off a cliff. Although he didn't have a great game, still scored 17 more points than Stafford.
Final score of my game? 158 to 143. Yes, add the 17 and you'll find that if the site didn't barf my switch to Mahomes, I'm in my Super Bowl.
I started this league 30 years ago, and I wish we were still having to do it manually through email updates instead of relying on bogus programmers and technology.
/end rant
I think he's definitely better than what they have. And Goff did have one of his best games vs Asshole Face in 2018 in the playoffs. Probably his best game IMO given what was at stake.would be a good trade for both Lions and Saints in off season, Goff to Saints for picks, whaduyathink?
train
But....
What does it really mean?![]()
i agree - an INT that happens on a deep, aggressive play i dont mind.I don’t mind Stafford throwing picks when he is airing it out, I’d prefer it didn’t happen but risk/reward … the short passes where he is under pressure close to our own end zone need to stop. Stafford appears to have a weakness here … maybe we just give the ball to Michel instead.![]()
I can't freaking stand Hochuli. One of them loves to see himself on camera and the other one is just generally bad at his job.It seemed like the refs were okay with letting guys play, which is such a contrast to seeing a game officiated by Hochuli's crew.
Diggs also apparently gives up a shit load of yards too per completion. Think they posted a stat about it after his 1st int.Yup, well Night Train Lane was a rookie in 1952 and QBs were definitely picking on him hence the 14 INTs. Some talent involved to get the picks of course but he got thrown at a lot. He certainly didn't get that many by them avoiding his area.
Also a 12 game season then. Should be asterisks if broken. Or at least mention how many games it took.
I think it will depend on the D. If they are moving thru the D like butter, like they did in last years playoffs you might see McVay revert.Having a good run game going into Green Bay is essential, especially in potential sub zero/snow conditions. Will the new McVay wielding a run game in Sony Michele continue to ground and pound, or will the ghost of Christmas past raise its ugly head, and make Stafford heave the rock +35 attempts? Anything can happen in this Covid environment.
Because you lose possession. Against the whiners, our first possession was a long throw that got picked and the whiners got the ball on their 7 or 8 yard line but we lost a chance to score and they put together an 18 play morale killing drive2nd pick went 50 yards in the air. How is that worse than a punt?
It's interesting.. there was an article in 538 or something earlier this year that looked into draft values for mid and low round players. The Rams model requires success later in the draft. You’ve highlighted exactly why “the experts“ have been fooled by our success.
Snead needs this part of the equation to keep clicking along... our 2022 draft is all about the late picks.
We aren't just out of the deep end. I have no doubts that Zimmer will try to attack those weak spots.
McVay, his staff, and Stafford will need to be in sync with the game plan. Running game, misdirections, play actions, moving the pocket.
