It’s looking real 1999ish

9ers are the last team that physically mismatches us. Rams have either grown enough as a team to dunk those fucks, or they haven't. I don't think they're gonna have a home field advantage in LA. But it's still better than being in Green Bay with Rodgers. So even with a poor matchup we're in good shape here given that it's an NFC Championship level game.

We gotta beat Garoppolo. Think about that a moment. I just feel like our defense can get this done. Beat the QB. Remove his run game and take away his early reads. This is a hell of a lot easier a plan than beating Rodgers.

Offensively just stay balanced and play field position. How well our offense handles that defensive front is probably the single biggest factor in who will win.
Rams were killing them 17-0, and then stupid shit started happening, including the 9ers game tying drive at end of 4th quarter.

So many seem scared of the 9ers. I think we win mistake free and absolutely destroy them. Well, anyway, that's my take on it.

Is ESPN pro Brady?

The Weddle penalty was a rule, even the announcers knew it before it was called correctly. I never saw it before either. I was hoping that the Bucs didn't get a damn free first down.

The unsportsmalikes were legit. The taunting on Donkey Kong, that was stupid of him to lose it like that. And that was barely a kick! Just put his leg up so he wouldn't get fallen on. But then that's what Kong's known for, losing his cool. Twitter roasted his ass... all the Suh haters Lol.

The one against Brady, hey the Goat (crayon-eater) was stupid to publicly mention that he gets away with shit talk to refs. That's something you say when retired. What a putz! The officials were no doubt informed. He looked like he was swearing at Hochuli, said the F word a few times like "What the fuck was that?" And "You guys gonna fucking call that?" And maybe some "Get your heads outta your asses!" Again, losing his cool like when he threw the ipad before.

Let the crybabies make excuses.

Key Players vs TB

Boom guaranteed that he’s gonna get paid. Hopefully not crazy money but enough to keep him a Ram

Yeah, I’m not surprised in the least that he played well. The Rams drafted him to eventually replace Whitworth but the old man has just kept playing and now Noteboom is headed for FA. Noteboom has always done a solid job at LT, it was at LG where he ran into problems.

If Whit chooses to play another year...

If not, I try to come up with the $$ to keep him. I’d let Allen and Corbett walk before Noteboom.

OK, now I’m gettin worried

I mean, are we really going to give him touches? We have a thumper that was more effective then Hendo and now we also have a great 3rd down receiving back (and he's much more then that, mind you). There is only so many touches to go around. I'd suspect he gets almost no touches, and that might be the right move. Akers can do everything Hendo can do, but better.
It doesn't matter now because Henderson has been ruled out...but bro...YOU USE EVERY TOOL IN YOUR TOOL BOX!!! Henederson has contributed nicely when he plays...and he's a change of pace because he's a nifty smaller back with all a good skill set that makes people miss. With 3 good RBs...if Henderson could play...YOU PLAY HIM as I see it...IT KEEPS ALL YOUR RBs fresh and make the defense adjust.

Obviously Akers is the better back...but that doesn't mean you don't use Henderson, whos a good RB that make good contribution too...but like I said...Henderson has been ruled out...some it doesn't matter. It's Akers and Michel.

The Ram Secondary Against Brady

Appears Snead has activated up from the PS two past Ram DB's to bring some savvy to this young secondary. Countess has been well-traveled & has seen a ton of snaps since departing the Rams for the Eagles ....never a bonified starter but a general all-around DB who can do a bit of anything & has some speed.

Chris Simms: Interview with Odell Beckham Jr.

Love Woods, but OBJ brings more to the Rams with Stafford at QB.
Woods is so much like Kupp, and the Rams O can be so much more now.
If needed, Rams have to get value for Woods, and use those $ on OBJ.
The one thing that I am still unsure of is how good a blocker can and is OBJ willing to be.
You underestimate Woods. He has historically brought a lot more than OBJ to this offense. I love what OBJ has brought, the hands, the tricks plays, the routes, the smart play and athleticism, and he's obviously showcasing his talent and bringing a lot more than when they first acquired him. I wouldn't say he's bringing more than Woods yet, but I'm still wanting him to succeed here and have a great game vs the Bucs!

X factor

Stafford won't get that kind of respect in the national media. Hell, he doesn't even have universal respect on here, haha.

Oh for sure not your 1000% correct it's the golden boy vs the red headed step child (politically correct posters please realize it's just an expression not a point of view) or the haves and have nots.

The media lives to pile on the uncool Stafford and praise the popular kid on Brady.

I wonder what Staffords career would have been like with belicheat and the pats instead of Brady during that run. Although my instincts tell me the type of dude Stafford is he would of wanted no part of cheating so maybe he doesn't win as many chips. Anyone else think had Brady been on Detroit he would have been horrible???? I certainly am of that line of thinking.

I’ve see Rams make many smart decisions since 2017. However…

This year has shown many departures from former excellence, imo.

In no particular order of importance but just a stream of consciousness thing…

The Morris hire.
The DeCamillis hire.
The Atwell pick at 57 with Humphrey on the board.
Not having a single run blocking TE behind Mundt.
Not using Higbee more after loss of Woods.
Keeping Hekker over Bojo despite Bono’s clearly outplaying him in preseason.
Not having a single halfway decent PR on the roster. Inexcusable.
Using Kupp as an occasional PR. Seriously?
Depth at RB was suspect even before the Akers injury. How did THAT work out?
McVay with often puzzling playcalling, including not taking what D is giving him and getting away from running game too often.
McVay has apparently become too predictable and opponents have been taking advantage.
Stafford is very good, but being asked to do too much.
The Miller trade is now looking a little iffy to me. He’s not impressing and we’re gonna really miss those 2 premium picks next year.
I thought DW would be a team strength paired with Ramsey but he’s been neutered.
Burgess can’t get on the field despite impressing late last year pre-injury. This on a team with crying needs at both nickel and Safety, dammit!
The Kenny Young trade is looking like we shot ourselves in the foot as we watch Reeder flailing. Gawd!

These are just some highlights off the top of my head, but I will say this. Both Snead and McVay need to put their respective ‘genius’ trophies back into the closet until further notice.

This team should be in the SB conversation but now they’re no lock to even make a wildcard appearance. Color me extremely disappointed.

How the mighty have fallen, huh?
Feel like it's a fun topic to revisit.
I will point out that I lost my shit at the end of the second 9ers game and questioned a lot of what they're doing.. but feel like I'm back to "big picture" .. and it doesn't look too bad.

The Morris hire was a win.
The DeCamillis hire looks like a big win. I think so much of what we saw early was developing young players and getting people into the scheme. The coverage and return units are crushing it right now.
As much as it was a failure to not have a good returner early.. it shows how this organization seems to keep hammering at weaknesses until they find good answers. Powell's been absolutely golden.
Whatever Higbee's usage was earlier.. they're using him about perfectly right now.
Hekker sure looked good last week.
Kupp as a safety valve PR is fine to me.
They had a rash of injuries at RB.. a healthy Akers looks like an absolute star.
McVay's been better about using the run since the losing streak. Much. He still does some things that make me scratch my head.
The run game, D and STs contributing make Stafford's life much easier, for sure. He was fantastic last weekend.
Miller's been absolutely worth the picks and signing him is a big priority for me.
DW has been up and down. I think some is just him.. I think some is injuries.. I think some is usage and I think some is the league knowing his weaknesses now.
Burgess looked good last week, but was notably taken off the field in some situations and replaced with Weddle. I'm not sure what that means, big picture.
Travin Howard is better than Young, it turns out.

They get to keep their "genius" trophies, imo... and are still in the SB conversation.

Again.. not taking shots at this post as much as revisiting where we are know, versus during the losing streak.

Rams add Day, Henderson Rochell to return window

As per McVay zoom call today, he doesn't think any of them will be playing THIS Sunday. Reeder wearing the green dot ugh

Oh yeah - ugh again. He wears the
Green dot for the first time all year ?

I just know Weedle helped him feel more comfortable.

I guess that hit on Murray had no effect on the pick 6? Old blue eyes
Needs to go.

Whitworth - OUT Sunday

Really bummed that Whit going to miss this game. Locking down that side throughout the playoffs and SB would be the ultimate end to his career.

I think Boom will do a fine job in his place but might give Whit pause about retirement and drive up the $$$ for retaining Boom.

Happy this is one injury we might be able to sustain with little drop off.

McVay brings up possiblity of Ernest Jones coming back and Whitworth update

TB. No Godwin, AB, Ronald Jones, Fournette(?). Possibly no LT Triston Wirfs so next man up for both teams.
DC Moore & LB'ers coach Shula should really be concentrating on a lot of pass-rushing pressure being applied towards that Buc's RT post no matter if Wirfs or Wells starts there.

Both of those RT's have leg injuries & are gimpy. I think their mobility is going to be limited. Applied heat from Floyd, Miller, Donald to that right side on a constant basis will wear down those hurting OL'ers. Robinson our usual left-side DL who would normally face off with Wirfs has been playing mean & tough. Even getting LBer Troy Reeder rushing in on delays will be an issue for them even with Brady being able to see it.
