Jourdan Rodrigue Rams Mock Draft 1.0

I take it that means we may let Alaric Jackson walk? I'm not so sure about that decision.

I'm thinking she might want to adjust her mock now that we resigned Jackson. Yes, still need a RT of the future, but for this year, not in the 1st I wouldn't think.

Jourdan seemed convinced that the Rams were going to let Aleric test the market. So, when I saw this draft I figured she felt he was a goner.

With the way defenses played the Rams late in the season taking an OT in round one seems to ignore a bigger need for downfield threats.

Memento's TRADE STAFFORD (AND KUPP) ALREADY!! (Also, fuck snow.) Mock Offseason.

I'M WRONG AND GLAD TO BE WRONG! Anyway, let's get down to the replies:

That would be a good offseason. The only drawback is they won’t have a blocking TE. Neither Loveland nor Fanin fits the run first scheme that McVay is deploying. I’d swap one of them out for a TE with more blocking ability or just keep Higbee for his last contracted year.

And there’s no way Forbes is one of my starters. He not only can’t tackle, he’s afraid to.

Fannin is actually a very underrated blocking tight end, according to advanced stats.

I also disagree with Forbes being afraid to tackle. I think he gets run over because he's just too skinny. But his ballhawking skills make him a threat for a pick six every time people throw against him.

1. You never get close to the crazy that is my mock drafts!! And you will never get to my level of the crying and knashing of teeth my mocks create!!

2.
In Love with Omarion Hampton, the more games and tape I watch of him he reminds me more and more of Gurley with his freak athletic ability, duality in both the passing and run game and his size. He's reportedly a bit faster than Gurley however that 4.55 40 of Gurley I'm skeptical of. That dude when he got going wasn't really catchable.

3.I'm 100% all in on double dipping into this draft class at WR. Love me some Egbuka and he's a capable and willing blocker. Luther Burden but be perfect to match with Egbuka, Lovland, Puka, Omarion! Keep an eye on Sayvion Williams and Elic A. they both look special.

4. TE's. Loveland would be a dream come true but somehow I don't see us picking him up before some other positions unfortunately. I'm not a fan of Fanning at all. Can't get over the small school and how he runs. Something about it. He just screams average to me.

5. Damnit! not one legit CB? There some awesome ones in this draft in the top 100??!! Fucking love some of these guys! At that Will Howard spot I would of taken best CB avaible. But I know if you use a mock draft sim sometimes those guys aren't there.

6. Not a fan of Howard one bit... he screams average to below average in the NFL. Michigan trounced his ass as did some other teams who shouldn't have been a game. I'm in love with the accuracy and the speed of the QB Rourkes processing from Indiana. IMO that guy would be a damned nice project in the NFL as a 3rb QB.

7. RB. Let's be honest Kyrens first year was like Blacks this last year outside of breaking an arm. I fully expect Blake to be a legit back up to Omarion in a scenario like this as a different type of back, also if Omarion is on their radar Kyren could be draft day bait.

That's it good draft!

I'm in love with Hampton as well. There's a lot of good backs in this class, even late.

Well, I did a little more than double dip (more like quadruple dipping), but I'd love to have Egbuka and Burden (especially LB3. What can I say? He's my guy.) Ayomanor is solid as well. Not a fan of Savion Williams; he screams "Brian Quick" to me.

Loveland would be a dream come true, but we'd have to trade up to get him. I do like Fannin, and have no idea why he's falling in mocks; the guy reminds me of a better Jordan Reed.

Hey, Parrish is a legit corner (and yeah, he may be short, but he's physical and has outstanding football IQ)! But I do like the guys we picked up as UDFAs last year, and I want to see what they can do. If you're looking for a corner instead of Howard, why not Nohl Williams out of California? The guy has a lot of picks and pass breakups, may not be the fastest, but is big and physical at the line of scrimmage, and excels in man coverage.

Disagree on Howard. I like his arm, like his athleticism, think he could be what Levis should've been.

True on Corum. It may be why the Rams don't draft another back early. I'd love to have Hampton or Judkins or Kaleb Johnson or Henderson, but there's a lot of other fish to fry.

Thank you for the compliments, Corbin!

Jourdan Rodrigue Talk Rams

I think he was above average last year but not dominant. Hope he gets back to it.
I think he was average.
He had good moments certainly. But, a lot of bad ones as well. Often badly beaten in pass pro by a quick first step. His run game blocking came back as time went on.
I have no worries with Avila however. I think he is loaded with talent and is a freak at his size with his movement skills.
I think he will be back to his dominating standard next year.

Rams/9ers rivalry at a crossroad

Thanks for confirming Reeves; although, providing his middle name was kind of showing-off.
I actually did that to distinguish the difference between the former Ram owner and the player/Coach Daniel Edward Reeves. Although I love adding middle names, took that from Howard Cosell. "Joe Willie Namath." and one of my favorite middle names Cosell used to call out "Francis Asbury Tarkenton."
