Rams Finalize 2022 Coaching Staff

Under the HC, you have
1. OC
2. DC
3. OL
4. DL
5. RB
6. WR
7. TE
8. LB
9 DB
10 ST

So 10 is an accurate number there. Then you have assustants for #3 through #10 (7 more) and strength & conditioning, plus the entry level positions like offensive and defensive quality control. So it's normal to have about 20 - 25 coaches counting the head coach.

2022 NFL Draft: Strongest position group? Weakest?

What is cool is how the Rams weakest positions line up with the draft's strongest positions. Obviously that's not a mistake. So that makes me think the remaining needs get drafted though they still might manage to bring in a vet at one of the spots.

Edge is gonna be drafted. Makes too much sense to go any other direction. Corner I'm more iffy on, simply because it's hard to watch wtf they're doing with the shit film we get on youtube. With NFL film you can all 22 and see them.

But even TE aligns for the Rams isn't that interesting. Not a bunch of top guys but role types deep into the draft.

Tried one, I gotta figure out the trade set up. Thanks for posting.View attachment 53407
You know I see a possibility of us going with Kellen Diesch or ASU other lineman this draft the Swiss Army knife C/G. I could see both being available at our later picks and both being good value if their there.
I've played with the one on the draft network... lots of winning possibilities, imo.

One player I'm interested in late is SDSU TE Daniel Bellinger. Not fluid and not likely to be a stud in passing game.. he's got great size.. is a hell of a blocker and a really good athlete. The kind of guy if you get the ball to on a quick hit can run through a tackle and run away from a few guys.
Honestly this about the timing to have McVay influence another young TE pick. I wouldn’t be surprised at all, no guarantees our young TE from USF will come back full speed this year after his injury.

It seems like a plethora of capable TE’s and a good runner are really what make this McVay offense pop!

Great segment by X

no, not that guy... sorry @-X-

THIS guy. Nicely done, Dante. With a reference to HOF'er (and former Rams teammate, from 07 - 08) Torry Holt to boot.

So glad I don't have to get jealous of who we miss out on in the 1st round now that we have Robinson, and hopefully OBJ comes back too.
Would rather OBJ get signed than TM, tbh.

Divisional Playoffs: Rams at Buccaneers - 3pm ET

That fumble by Akers was catastrophic in terms of where and when it happened in such a big game. I watched the final drive today (the vid starts right at Ramsey being beat for a TD there prior to the Akers fumble) and it hit me how bad it really was. It was like I knew it was bad but the way the offense responded buried it in my mind. If the offense doesn't respond and we get eliminated though what you have there is the type of situation that completely erodes a team's faith in the player.

So maybe Akers' job isn't safe. Maybe they're set to address that shit in the draft with intent to find the guy. For me at least I haven't really been thinking that. I've been thinking they add a RB but not that they might be doubting Akers. And again what makes me consider that is just how bad that fumble was in that moment. I mean holy shit.
When Akers came back, i figured the Rams wouldn't let him play if they didn't think he was ready. I posted at that time that my biggest worry was fumbles due to rustyness. It took a few games, but it showed up against a ball hawking D. Up to that point he doesn't show a pattern of fumbling. I don't think the Rams have changed their opinion of him at all. Not their style to have knee jerk reactions. Doesn't mean they won't get another RB.

Seahawk fan on Bobby Wagner trade

The 49er run attack might be weaker this year. Deebo probably made the Niner coaching staff to think Mostert was expendable. But Deebo is a WR not a RB. Mostert was IMO the scariest RB on their roster. This guy had true explosion, as a RB with elite speed. I'm glad he's in Miami now. They also lost their starting RT and LG in Compton and Tomlinson. It's a matter of how good are their replacements? LG is key in pass protection and RT is a key in their run game.

If I had to speculate I'd say the 49ers got weaker, not better this year. The Cardinals also appear to be weaker as well. The 49ers draft fairly well but IMO the Cards had to resort to hired guns because they draft poorly. They only have about $6.5M in cap and they are notoriously poor in their cap management. Their roster isn't as strong as last year IMO.

Sony Michel?

I like Robinson's character too. He was at Alabama 5 years. He was 4th behind guys like Josh Jacobs (1st Rd pick in 2019), Damien Harris (3rd Rd pick in 2019) and Najee Harris (1st Rd pick in 2021). He could have easily transferred somewhere where he could play more. But it was about team. Consequently, whomever drafts Robinson will get a team-oriented productive player with low mileage on his tires. 545 carries over 5 years. 2704 yards, 4.96 yds/att, 29 TDs, 52 receptions, 446 rec. yards, 8.6 y/rec. And it's hard to ignore the quality RBs Alabama has sent to the NFL since 2011. Mark Ingram (1st Rd), Trent Richardson (1st Rd), Eddie Lacy (3rd), TJ Yeldon (2nd), Derrick Henry (2nd), Kenyan Drake (3rd), Josh Jacobs (1st), Damien Harris (3rd) and Najee Harris (1st). Three of those last 4 played 4 years at Alabama because of all the depth they had at RB. I've watched the kid play and he seems like the real deal. The only question is, how long will he last in the draft.....I'd think at least to #104, possibly #142. Some evaluators have him going in the first 3 rounds, some others in the 4th or even 5th. If we got him in the 5th it would be a steal.
I completely agree with all of that.

Matt Ryan Can Cement His Hall Of Fame Case With Colts

I realize he has numbers. I just don't see the caliber of player in him. I've always said he was the most over rated QB in the league. Virtually every time I watch him, I come away unimpressed.

And as much as you want to say he didn't lose that SB, he really did. While it's a team game, he couldn't lead his team to scoring position for well over a full quarter in the biggest game of his career. He was as much responsible for that loss as anyone.

I don't give the coaching staff and defense a pass in that game but Ryan wasn't exactly sharp to close it out.

Regardless, I have no dog in this fight. I don't really care if he gets in. I like having former Rams get in but every other player is a big meh for me. Kind of like Ryan as a whole for me.
I respect that opinion.

On your point, "he didnt' lead his team into scoring position for well over a quarter", he actually did. Twice.

At the end of the third quarter, with the Falcons leading 28-9, on 2nd and 1 from the NE 32, Matthews was called for a hold on a -1 yard run by Coleman. They ran well in the first half (9 for 86) but hadn't been able to do much in the 3rd Q (6 for 7 yds including 3 TFL). After an incomplete pass on 2nd down (which Hooper had in his hands at the NE 37 but the DB slapped it out), the next play on third an 11, Ryan was sacked on a blitz. That's on Shanahan (or Quinn). You're up 19 and there's 0:52 left in the 3rd Q, you run on that down because 1) the Patriots are expecting the pass and 2) if the run gains 5 yards, you have the TV timout at quarter's end to decide whether to punt or go for the 55 yard FG. Bryant was 6 of 8 in 2016 with a long of 59.

Later in the 4th, on 3rd and 1, Ryan is sacked on a blitz by Hightower and loses a fumble. Sure that's on Ryan despite the fact New England was blitzing again and Hightower came unobstructed to clock Ryan. I can understand a pass there because Coleman was injured on the previous play. Freeman completely missed the block on Hightower. Ryan lined him up inside the RT presumably with his sole responsibility to block any blitzers from the right side of the offense.

On the next possession, after New England scored to get it to 28-20, Ryan drove them from the Atlanta 10 to the New England 35. With 3:56 to play and Davonta Freeman in at RB, on 2nd and 11 at the NE 23, again they drop back to pass (when a 0 yard run would have practically given them a FG and an 11 point lead) Ryan was sacked again by Flowers. The playcalling is what sunk Atlanta in that second half, not Ryan.

Over the course of 10 years (2011-2020) he averaged 4570 yards passing, 28 TD and 12 Int completing 66.5% with a QB rating of 96.3. Those are solid numbers. There's a legit argument either way for the HOF.

Most egregious non-call in SB History???

I don't buy that because the Saints got away with a blatant facemask against Goff on the drive before that play. That facemask might have changed the entire script because if the Rams scored a TD, the saints would have needed a TD to win.

Oh, and the Saints got away with donkey stomping Goff and another Rams player (after the play was over) which would also have resulted in 15 yard penalties.,

And........... One ref's job is to watch the QB and how could he not see Goff's head twisted by someone grabbing his facemask near the goal line?
That's my way of putting this behind me. Too many variables for right vs wrong, I am moving on and enjoying the SB win. The rest is dust in the rearview.

Once is a low-budget masterpiece about an Irish busker who meets a Czech girl who becomes his collaborator and muse as they try to work out their complicated lives through music. Begin Again is set in New York, and features Mark Ruffalo as a down on his luck record producer who is inspired by young singer/songwriter Keira Knightley (yes, she really can sing). Sing Street is a period piece set in the 1980s and tells the story of a group of High School kids in Dublin forming a band to escape their dreary lives and, of course, impress a girl.

All three really show the process of writing and arranging songs in a way that really provides insight into the craft, as well as showing how life experiences and emotions impact the process. Plus, the music in all three films is outstanding.

Check them out!
