Decobie Durant My Opinion

Round 4 @ 142

CB Decobie Durant: Another player at a position of need. Durant is slightly shorter than the average CB at 5'10" but of more concern is his shorter than average arm length of just under 31". His strength is his agility and speed. Decobie is destined to fill the SCB position in front of Deayon, and should be a substantial upgrade. His speed will allow him to stay in phase with a receiver who takes him deep across the field. He's got good ball skills and plays aggressively. He's a work in progress who needs work on his technique and especially his route recognition skills. I like how he plays the position, which is aggressive. That said his weakness is his run support. He's willing but he needs a lot of work on his technique. This is where his short arms come into play. He misses too many tackles and does not shed blocks well. Overall I see him as a solid SCB prospect who could easily see rotational snaps this season. I see him filling the SCB position for years to come. This would set the Ram starting CBs as Ramsey, Rochell, and eventually Durant all with 4.3 speed. The Rams got good value for the pick finding an eventual starter at SCB.

Best available UDFA's Following 2022 NFL Draft

I've been poking around on the Rams UDFAs a bit and watching some games and highlights and stuff and it seems to me that maybe they get lucky on a couple of these guys. You never know with them of course and each of them are a longshot but collectively the Rams tend to get one or two every year added to the roster so here's the two I think have a decent shot.

Jamal Pettigrew looks the part. He's a big dude and an eager blocker so he's going to be in play for a TE4 blocking role. Lower level of competition and he's not athletic at all as TEs go (saw a 5 sec 40 time listed for him which is slower than Mundt) but for the role he'd need to win his biggest competition are the bottom feeders from the other positions like WR where the Rams have some badass teamers. Seems like he has a shot though.

Jake Hummel is really interesting because that Iowa St defense 3-3 stack he sometimes stacks but mostly plays the stud/bronco roles which are basically SS type roles where they enforce in the box and also cover a bit. He's not a large dude but he is athletic and not afraid of contact. I'd say he's quick, versatile, and plays to the whistle which is a really nice combo. What he has working against him is whether the Rams want to keep 4 ILBs.

International Games Announced Tomorrow (Hoping We Get One)

And every AFC home game last year was a home game, in their home stadium. NFC played true road games.

The international games are nfc vs nfc. There is no nfc vs afc.

The nfc teams will get the extra home game this season against an afc team.

.

Edit - ah, now I've read your post properly. You're concerned about the 4 nfc teams that have one of their home games as an international game. Fuck em. As long as it wasn't the Rams.

OZARK season 3

We waited until the second half of S04 was released to start S04. We watched the first 2 episodes last night and it's pretty fucking bad. I mean....how much BS are we supposed to just accept before enough is enough?? Such a shame. They shoulda left it at 3 seasons.

There’s gonna be some SERIOUS competition at many positions, huh?

Yeah I see it that way too. Bruss moves dudes, it's there over and over he's got some power in his game. None of the guys on our depth chart do that very well. Rams need to improve in run blocking and he was targeted for that, and he doesn't give up anything in pass pro either so I can't imagine any of these depth chart dudes giving him a run for it.

Maybe Anchrum. But Bruss is a brute.

Bruss IS the brute squad.

Special Teams Returners

With Stafford's preference for big targets, it's Harris' job to lose over Atwell. If it's even up or even slightly in Atwell's favor, Harris is the guy. If they make the mistake to let the raw, SPARQ God on the PS, some team will snatch him up in a NY minute

We didn't draft any WRs, so that sixth spot seems to be up for grabs between Harris, Atwell and Powell unless Powell makes it as a ST specialist alone...
Anything can and likely will happen.

Scariest Sci-Fi Movie

Keep in mind there are 3 versions of The Thing: from 1951, 1982, and 2011.

My Dad (who was born in 1940) said the 1951 Thing was the scariest movie he ever saw (because he was 11 when he saw it).

As for the 2011 remake, I don't know much about it.

But we are all referring to the classic John Carpenter version from 1982. So you have to forgive the old school special effects of course. But if you can appreciate good acting and a tense paranoid thriller... then yea, the 1982 version is a great horror movie.
The effects in 1982 wasn't that bad for that time period
