That's what McVay and Snead are using the draft for while they acquire key pieces in free agency and using those first and second round picks to trade for.

And it just paid off with a world championship.

It very well may be that one of Snead's best abilities as a GM is his skills to find prospects that are often overlooked by most other teams.

Snead might be impaired (not as successful) in selecting first-day draft selections.

Meanwhile quietly busy behind the Ram scenes in building compiling a good amount of 3rd-day draft ammo & entering the 3-day NFL draft party very late for more than a half-decade & then, having very good success in backfilling his roster with highly coachable players who with training rise to contribute on the field.

Not a fan of guys who want to be crowned before they earn it. Same types who let the other team run the fucking ball on you because it doesn't help their sack stats. We all see your gifts. What we want to see is you do it over time without getting hurt.

There are very few voices I can still hear crystal clear in my head… boils down to two… Vin Scully and Chick Hearn… Vin Scully was aptly described as the poet laureate of the Dodgers and no better description could there be…

Part of me is a kid in 1977, riding my bike with the transistor radio I got for Christmas listening to Vin Scully, the warm spring Southern California sun on my face tell me, “It’s time for Dodger baseball!”

Even as I cry, I try to remember and celebrate that moment… that beautiful, perfect moment

It was not uncommon for fans at the stadium to have transistor radios, so they can still hear Vin call the game.

Vin, is definitely the voice of our childhood, for many.

Yeah, it's the end of the '20 opener, Cowboys with the ball and 21 secs left. Gallup pushed off, got caught and all the 'Boy apologists were quick to tell us if not for the BS penalty he'd have been open for a big play.
