Who Starts vs Chargers? Final 53?

Bruss and Jackson seem like they'll do well this weekend on that right side in the run game. Someone will benefit like maybe Funk who should be ready to handle some carries. Hope he survives it if he gets a good carry total.

I was surprised to hear McVay mention Arcuri as one of the players he is excited about seeing play. Has to be a good thing that he's caught his eye.

Really hope the OL is sharp. It would be nice to see the offense get good work.
It will be fun this weekend to hopefully watch the Rams play on Saturday while at work, vs the Renters. It's 3:07 am Merlin in Salem and don't you have a class to teach as a Preacher Teacher at the Baptist college?
Now do a bowl and go to sleep!

Brandon Powell banged his knee and the Rams are awaiting the results.
Well Shit

Ernest Jones thinks playing with Bobby Wagner will take his game to the next level

You would think that{ Green Dot} Wagner will direct the thinner more mobile Ernest Jones into a position to place him so he can make the play that maximizes his skills. Wagner will use his accumulated skills backpack to work the HD middle gap filler that he has always done so well. Just feels like a perfect inside LB duo.

With the OLB'ers of Floyd/ Hollins/ Lewis / Garrett & Hardy crashing in from the edges sure gets me drooling for this regular season to begin. The starting safety tandem is still unknown at this time. With 3 new DB coaches this season (Jonathan Cooley/ Chris Shula & Lance Schulters) we may be in for a big surprise as to which safeties start.
Is Jones "more mobile"?

Sure... Wagner's got years on him.. but Bobby ran a 4.46 to Jones 4.72.

One of Jones' more interesting traits is his length.. for a guy 6-2... he's got long arms and huge hands.. one of the reasons he makes so many plays on the ball.

Achilles' heel for 2022 Playoff Contenders

Surprisingly accurate take for ESPN. But one thing I find very funny is 65% chance for the playoffs. McVay generally makes the playoffs. And this could be his best roster yet, top to bottom. So I think that is a very low percentage, an overly-playing-it-safe type of percentage. Seems to me they should be around 80%, though of course I am no statistician in fact statistics was the only math class I ever disliked.
They have the Bucs at 59.4%, lol. They could trot out Tom Brady's wife at QB and win that division by 3 games.

NFL roster dates to remember

Well this questions seems somewhat relevant to this topic....
Anyone know if this seasons IR designations are working like they did last season or did they revert back to the terrible way they used to be before COVID? Couldn't find a confirmation regarding that. I'm hoping they leave it permanent because last season was awesome being able to see players come back later in the season and not forcing teams to end a players season prematurely. And I say that for the NFL as a whole not just the Rams players... better competition is good for the league.
I found this

Rams 53-Man Roster Projection: Built for Repeat?

The Rams 53 - wow where does one start ?

There is so much talent & depth out there.Sort of unbelievable how The Rams can reload & bring in such young talent.

Last week of training camp & the preseason is here.wanted to go to the Chargers training camp last night but got lazy with GF.The tickets were for the 11th &12th & could only image how crazy it was there with the OC Fair there.Would have been I party night & bailed out.
We will get a look at Staley as a HC compared to last season.I actually like he isn’t afraid to go for it TRUST his team no matter what the down and distance is.His defense has 42 Reeder,56 Fox,69SJD & top it off with 7 Everett. That right there makes me Bi-curious.
Just 6 days away & then the lights come on to see what the back half of the 53 might look like.

Rams Hurting: Matthew Stafford Has More Arm Pain

It’s all moot… Stafford by all accounts had an excellent day, said his arm felt good and is on schedule and rather than coach speak, McVay was talking about the ball jumping out of Stafford’s hand…

I think they’re managing this… Stafford’s never had to play that extra 4 weeks including the Super Bowl bye week of practice and the extra wear and tear showed up.

With all this experience, after we repeat, I expect them to shut him down for longer to really let his arm rest whether he gets cortisone or better yet, stem cell therapy and then bring him along toward the end of camp… 5 months is plenty of rest

CAMP REPORT Day 6 Aug 4

I'm not worried about Tutu's size. Not worried about his weight. Not worried about him getting hurt either, as all that stuff is unknown.

What bugs me is McVay needed to call him out. That means they missed some shit with him in their evaluation. In how he's wired.

Then I hear Vet & Bubba, who I trust, mention he looks like he takes off snaps in camp.

So for me time will tell. Maybe he busts his butt and helps his team win this year. But then what. Will he be able to stay hungry and competitive. This league eats dudes who get satisfied. Guys who take snaps off are the ones who it's a mistake to pay.

Whether he was worth that pick might take a long time to sort out. There are some warning signs. But maybe he pulls through. Not rooting against him here, I of course want to see him succeed.
I get where you're coming from and all that is 100% valid.

My point was, even if he figures *that* stuff out? There's still a serious lid on what he can contribute, imo.

RIP Clu Gulager ...

Clu Gulager's final film was 2019's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

If he could have made one more film that came-out the next year that would have made 8 decades of films!

Instead, is was a mere seven decades of movies and TV appearances. Wow!

1964's The Killers was a terrific Gulager vehicle, with Lee Marvin and Clu as the Killers. The other leading roles were played by John Cassavetes, Angie Dickinson and ... in his final movie role ... Ronald Reagan.

Cowherd says OBJ should go to SF

Don’t have a link to it but I know it was Cowherd who said it, I was surprised cuz I’d never herd him say anything like that and he’s usually reasonably high on the rams chances.
Cowherd says crazy shit all the time, not quite Skip Bayless crazy, but still out there.
It was Nick fucking Wrong, and it took all of 30 seconds to find the link...

According to this horse faced turd, they should just give the whiners the division now. It's over fellas.
