What IF we had beaten Tampa?

What a season pivoting game that was. I mean…

What IF we hold on and win that game?

The following week was home against the Cards, without Murray. The Rams might have been a little more hungry with that blood in the water.

That would make us 5-4 going into New Orleans. I think we go in with a different moxie and win that. The Saints suck.

We would be 6-5 right now after taking that KC loss.

I get we have oline problems and maybe it would still be a crappier year… But that was not too crazy a scenario was it?
Thats why we all blame Morris for our shitty season. LOL

What’s going on with our Rams secondary?

We did hold them to 6.1 yards per play, which is below their average of 6.6, as well as 45.5% on third down, below their average of 51.2%.
That's because we gave them 6 yards of space on every pass play and tackled them when they caught the ball. Mahomes only threw further than 15 yards in the air only a couple times that game.

And the third down % is low because we stopped them inside the red zone every time but once out of 6 tries

That is going to lower your third down percentage.

I have always said Morris defense in the red zone is excellent. But I think it could have been even better before the red zone if Morris played more aggressively those plays

Morgan Fox's dog wins "Best of Show"

I never did understand why we didn't resign him after he had a decent year the year before.
Hes a solid rotational guy.
Franklin-Myers was another we should have heard onto.
The Rams have been pretty good at finding/developing these guys.
Franklin-Myers to Joseph-Day to Gaines.
Resign Gaines please.
I see Hoecht in this same sort of light. A high effort, rotational guy that has some skill and could have a long NFL career.

Do we need a first rounder?

There's no way to know, but I really didn't feel like Donald's retirement talk was B.S. Yes, he came back for an insanely high amount of money and a shot at a repeat championship, but one of those is basically dead unless he's willing to play a few more years. He's rich. He's not stupid rich, but playing a few more years won't get him their either.

Donald has somehow survived his NFL career without a significant injury. To put things in perspective, his potential high-ankle sprain this year is probably the worst injury of his career. That's feels like a good year for Saquon Barkley.
Yeah, good points.

It’s hard to see Donald having a life altering injury at the position he plays and his physical conditioning. So… keep playing!

Milk that NFL dough and THEN he can start 30 really expensive hobbies for every year he plays going forward. :D

All said I do think he retires a tad early, but not at 32 and no real physical concerns.

GAME DAY SNF - Packers at Eagles

No argument from me there. My previous post was hyperbole. For all my gripes about Morris, the defence, on the whole, has not been bad. It has not been good enough. But it has not been bad. Worlds better than the offense. And the offense has been so bad I think it has negatively impacted the defence.
So true

I probably wouldn't hate the defense like I do if we could even score 20 points a game

GAME DAY GDT - Rams at Chiefs

So apparently Tutu can reliably catch the ball. It's a shame we haven't seen him most of the season. Also Jefferson with the Brandon Gibson specialty
Yeah this is something that some of us knew. He caught everything in his first preseason. His hands, speed, and athleticism are not in question. It was always does he know the playbook; does he run precise routes; can he block... and lastly what everyone knows... will he be used properly. But no, catching was never an issue with Tutu. If he was dropping shit out there like Van he would be deactivated more. Just interesting to see "wow he can catch." Yeah, I'm not surprised.
