Wanted us to move on from this guy because I didn't think he had the mental make up that was needed.
Could still be right about that, but I have to give him serious props for his performance this year so far.
Dude is not only kicking everything out of the EZ on kickoffs ( he hasn't ever been consistent with this) , but he is nailing every stinking FG right down the middle, no matter the distance. He is flat out killing it, and is a hugely needed component to out team the way it is constructed. This guy is absolutely vital to our success and I hope he keeps it up.

Yea we all know he has a very strong leg but now he is getting the accuracy part down our special teams unit can be a big difference maker

He also sees what happens when you are not a good kicker, you get a vet minimum contract.

Hope he continues his success and we can sign him long term.

I was also concerned because it seems like so far in his career, GZ has been less accurate when kicking on grass. And between the Coliseum and games in SF & Arizona, that's more than half the season's games kicking on the natural stuff.

So far, I've been pleasantly surprised -- but I'm still bracing for him to go through a slump (hopefully, it'll be a short one).

It'll be ok, because I'm hoping we won't be relying on FGs to win games because our RBs and WRs will be finding the end zone for more often ;)

I don't know what you are talking about. But one never talks about how well one is "hitting" or "kicking" as that usually leads to bad Karma.....(" I haven't 3 putted all day....." you say on the 16th green.....but on the 17th.......) But one does not speak about such things......

Let's hope he keeps hitting those PATs. Around the league they seem to be going the way of the free throw.

Isn't this a contract year for him? We either sign him long-term or move on after the end of season. He knows he has to perform to see and extension similar to Hekker.

Love GZ. All the people calling for his head are the same ones always calling for Fishers head, and going apoplectic with every game Goff does not start. (believe me, I am anxious to see the Goff era, too)

...by the way, no such thing as "karma". :neener::hiding:

As a matter of fact, in a previous life as a rat, I used to bite people and give them infections, and stuff. And look, I came back as a handsome man, :sneaky:and a Rams fan. (n)...wait.

:rant:that didn't make any sense Roman, you idiot! Next time you might come back as a rock!!
:burp:bring it on bitches.

Just to clarify, in your previous life as a rat, were you bitten and subsequently infected by, say, a flea or a tick? Maybe that's why karma took pity on you and gave you a life as a human being?;):p

I'll take my crow with a little BBQ sauce please
You should try it sauteed in a pan with a little Marsala wine and some portabellas.
You know, cuz you're sophisticated and shit.

It is right recognize achievement, and Legatron has toughened up mentally this year. I wasn't wrong to question him last year because he was missing critical points that we absolutely needed on a Rams team that didn't score TD's that often. But then again, Fisher put him in a position to fail a few times on long FG's...I am very proud of what he's done this year, he has his head on straight (whatever the hell that means!)
