Just thinking of this today reading the Steeler fan forums. Not surprisingly they don't know about Evans, I'm openly optimistic about him getting a real chance this week.

Evans and Freeman can carry the load.... We need to sign a RB to the practice squad as well.

I feel like he's got one speed and it's 100mph.. dude gets the ball and is immediately at full speed it seems.

I'm excited for him.

Would've been a Day 2 pick if he didn't have ball security issues.

I may have to start him fantasy :hiding:
Yea I been riding the Kyren train this fantasy season. Have Pollard on a bye and Taylor/Moss vs Cleveland Defense.

I have Pacheco in a good matchup vs Chargers but might consider Evans depending on how things look in practice, or what we hear.

In one league I also have Tony but I have James Cook too. Freakin Bills aren't giving him the ball tho. Also Jaylen Warren as the other RB. Might be a James Cook/Zach Evans week.

The other league I also have IP but traded for Jahmyr Gibbs a couple weeks ago plus Jerome Ford so a little better there.

It would be helpful if one these guys scores a freakin TD tho.

For the record, Evans had 5 fumbles in 318 touches (290 rushing attempts, 28 receptions) in college. That’s 1 fumbles every 63.6 touches. Not great, but, hopefully, an area that can be improved.

Zach Evans was *heavily* recruited by Georgia and Alabama as a HS player. Scouts have been projecting him as an NFL running back since he was 16. He 100% has the talent to be a serviceable back, it’s just a question of will he do the little things. Will he be sound in pass pro? Will he hold on to the football? I think he’s potentially a diamond in the rough, but talented dudes get run outta the NFL all the time.

I thought that was a problem with his touches this week. He needs to be a little more patient and let the blocks develop. KW makes it look easy but I haven’t seen Evans do it consistently yet.

What’s the rule with moving players up and back from the practice squad? I thought it was something like 2 or 3 times and you have to put them in your roster for the remainder of the year. I think Freeman has been up and back at least 2 times this season. Guess that means he stays up for the rest of the year.

To be fair, by the time Evans got in, the Rams were just running out the clock, so the Cardinals knew we were going to run on every play.
