I am a Grinch when it comes to Xmas songs at work. The station they play in December plays the same songs over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over .... well you get the idea

Well, it'll fit my house on Christmas; it's predicted to be snowy, icy, and - of course - cold.

Agree. And my favorite, despite being classified as politically incorrect, is "Baby it's cold outside"
Mine too. And fuck the PC crowd. It's a fun back and forth between a man and woman and a great holiday tune.

@Selassie I (still having issues quoting so just going with an @ until I care enough to troubleshoot it) Halestorm did a cover of that song. I didn't know it wasn't an original. They're one of my favorite bands right now and they put on a great concert.

Growing up these were played throughout the house at various times from Dec 20th-25th.
Playing these now reminds me of the good times when I was younger. Love these classics. Thank you Mom!

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

What I find so interesting about this hymn is that is that the titular phrase was sung in monasteries (in Latin) during the 8th and 9th centuries.

When this song is sung, people are participating in a Christmas tradition that goes back over 1200 years.

Here is a great version of that one.
