Scheffler arrested before PGA Championship

World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler was arrested Friday morning on his way to the PGA Championship, with stunning images showing him handcuffed as he was taken to jail for not following police orders during a pedestrian fatality investigation.

Darlington's account sure makes it look like overzealous cop with God complex.

Police: Officer dragged trying to stop Scheffler

The police officer who tried to stop Scottie Scheffler from entering Valhalla Golf Club on Friday morning was dragged to the ground and suffered "pain, swelling and abrasions" to his left wrist and knee after the car accelerated, per the incident report.

and he still went out and shot a 5 under par today
 
Just fyi, th golfer didn’t hit the cop… the cop grabbed the car and got dragged a little bit before he fell off.

Also, he was pulling around an accident as apparently it was unclear what he was supposed to do, especially as he was following another car.

Stupid is as stupid does. Who grabs a moving car with his bare hands who’s not a member of Jackass???

Look at his plates and then RADIO it in… so fucking dumb. Glad the round went off well and the cop didn’t injure himself too much

Hey Old. Could you post that video? I haven't seen it. I looked for it the day I heard about it but to no avail. From what I heard it sounds like you're right.
 
My guess is, the cop standing in the rain in the early morning hours was not in a good mood. Scheffler didn't know what was up and whatever the cop wanted him to do he didn't. Sure looks like an overreaction by the cop. Not even sure if he really fell down. Now the cop is getting his 15 minutes but not in a good way. Media is portraying him as a problem cop with a history of questionable stuff.
 
Charges were dropped yesterday. Guess the cop's 15 minutes are over.
