they have held their own against south american teams. they faced maradona in a qualifier in the early 90s and played a tough series where they were close but couldn't get the result. they have battled against uruguay a couple of times in qualifying and they were always close contests. brazil handled them easily in the 96 world cup. they had to beat peru to make it to this world cup.

I found the world cup website annoying. All the game times adjusted to my local time, but I had no idea if it was or not. No indication of Eastern Time, time zone, etc.

I had to go to a different site to confirm game time.

Damn. Memphis was wide open for a while on that. That was really bad tracking back by the midfield there.
 
Bad breakdown on defense there lost their form.
