Lifelong Cardinals fan. As a child Ken Boyer lived at the end of the block and Wally Moon was the next block over.

Los Doyers are surprising me. Gritty win last nite. Why is McCarver such a douchebag on the Cards broadcast? Watched via MLB last nite. He and his co-douche mini-ranted about Puig "looking" at the pitcher. Had to be to rile up the local audience because it didn't happen. Please, gain some perspective geezer, it's sports.

Dan McLaughlin usually isn't like that...but I agree that McCarver's a douche. Congrats to your Dodgers on the win; it's not easy to go up against Wainwright when he's in a zone like that.

Haven't been rolling these past 2 days...:ROFLMAO:

Yes...they definitely want to put guys on base in a 3-3 game late. Makes all the sense in the world.

Yeah.. Ramirez just "accidently" got hit 3 times against the cardinals dating back to the NLCS of last year. And now Puig gets accidently plunked the day before and misses a game. These "accidents" always seem to happen in the meat of the order.

I dont think Kershaw thought it was a "accident"

Nothing more than Dodgers and their fans trying to create animosity where it isn't. The ESPN announcers even said it was clearly unintentional. The umpires didn't seem to think it was intentional either. Seems to me the only people thinking anything of it are people with the Dodgers. Almost like they need to build a "good guy vs bad guy" scenario. Dating back to the NLCS the Dodgers have been trying to create a storyline that just isn't there by taking quotes out of context and now this silliness.

The Cardinals don't have any reason to go after the Dodgers...it makes no sense in game nor does it have any off the field traction. I'm glad the Cardinals are more worried about winning games than creating drama where it isn't.

"It's tough when you see Hanley get hit like that so many times," Kershaw said. "It's one thing to miss in, but when you're missing up and in, that's really scary. I'm pretty sure he wasn't doing it on purpose, but when you throw that hard, you need to have a better idea where the ball is going on the inner half of the plate."

I agree with everything Kershaw said.

From my perspective, FWIW as a professional, I agreed with the "no call" that Ed (Home Plate) didn't make. (Intent - ejection - warnings issued)

He realized that Rosenthall didn't have amazing command this night. He had missed badly on spots earlier in the inning to previous batters.

Not to mention what a previous poster mentioned, but, take a long look at the situation... no need to elaborate here.

Lastly, everyone knows you can "get in the kitchen" of Hanley and Kemp due to their long swings.

:OT: So I'm watching Kershaw the other nite thinking "Who does he remind me of?"
He is Michael Strahan's brother from another mother.

Having been born in St. Louis, almost born at Busch II, it's fair to say I'm a Cardinals fan.
St. Louis Cardinals for me. I grew up in the 90's watching guys like Ray Lankford and Mark McGwire take the field for the team, watching Tony LaRussa manage the team...
Life was hard being a Cardinals fan in the early 90's. The most excitement for the Cardinals was the strike. I was excited because of the fan appreciation day and I got to run around the field and have all sorts of fun. I was disappointed in the players and it prohibited Tony Gwyn from possibly batting .400 that year and in my mind ended Cal Ripken Jr's consecutive game streak because didn't show up for work for a month.

Life long Dodger fan. Once again Dodgers and Cardinals meet in postseason. Should be a good series. Go Dodgers
