Here's what uniforms Rams will wear vs. Saints in NFC title game

Fans were treated to one of the most iconic uniform combos in the NFL on Saturday night when the Los Angeles Rams hosted the Dallas Cowboys. The Rams went with their classic blue and yellow throwbacks, while the Cowboys sported their recognizable white and royal threads.

Unfortunately, the Rams and Saints won’t look as sharp this weekend at the Superdome. The Rams confirmed in an Instagram comment that they’re wearing their white uniforms, which was initially believed to be the case when the media guide for Sunday was released, displaying a blue and white helmet.

The Saints, on the other hand, will most likely wear their black uniforms, just as they did in their first two meetings with the Rams at the Superdome this year – once in the preseason and again in Week 9.

This is sure to disappoint Rams fans, but they’ve only worn their blue and yellow uniforms at home, and even with the magnitude of this game, it would’ve gone against tradition to wear them on the road.

One fan on Twitter wishes they could wear these white throwbacks with yellow pants from the Jim Everett era.

Isn't the rule that the home team gets to choose their uniforms and if they go dark, the visiting team has to go light? I don't think the Rams had the option of wearing the uniforms they wore last week and I don't think the yellow and white has been approved by the NFL. I suppose they could wear yellow pants with the white jerseys but that would be a hot mess with the gold trim on the jersey - and that ain't going to change.

Nice, would've imagined the Saints trolling us wearing their white unis so we would have to wear navy blue ones; we haven't worn those all season long.

I like it, light vs dark, good vs evil ;)
Truer than someone who doesn't know the team might think. One of the great things about the Rams is their exceptional character and team attitude. The players comment on this all the time. It is also true of the coaches and organization. They also have a very high level of team determination. It reminds me a lot of the Rams under Vermeil in 2000.

They couldn't wear these?

Maybe they're saving these for the Super Bowl in Atlanta because...well you know why.

To my knowledge, we’ve never worn white throwbacks since we changed to navy and gold. We’ve only worn the color throwback uniform. I don’t think Nike has ever made white throwbacks for us. You know they’d be on the pro shop if they did.

Count me as grateful for no blue pants.

I’m fine with the white/white if we can’t wear the yellow pants.

I hate the blue pants and they lose wearing them...

Guaranteed win!

As far as I know, no team has ever made "away" throwbacks for game wear. At least in non-75th anniversary seasons...

On a positive note -

If the Rams make the Super Bowl, the NFC team this year is designated as the "home" team and therefore can choose either color or white jerseys.

So if they make it past the Saints, the Rams are going throwback royal and yellow for the Super Bowl.

The Saints and Cowboys have white throwbacks for sale currently, and they’ve worn them in-game.

Edit: The 49ers added white throwbacks from 1994 this year too.

They wore them this year? And was it at an away game?
