We all know Cooper Kupp is having all all-time great season and he is on the verge of eclipsing some single season records.

Coop currently sits 3rd all time in receptions with 138 and 5th all time with 1,829 yards.

If my math is correct he needs 12 catches for 136 yards to be number one in single season yards and receptions. Personally I think he goes out and has himself a day and gets both done.

What say you?

I don’t see him get enough receptions but, yards is within reach of his normal production.

I put both because that's what I want to happen. If I had to put money on it though, I probably would just say yardage.

Both will be challenges though: he's hit 136 yards or more three times this year, but only made 12 or more catches one week (13, in the win over Arizona).

With that said, his last game against the Niners, he went off to the tune of 11 catches for 122 yards. So, let's go Kupp!

Ultimately though, and I'm sure Kupp feels this way, the win is the most important thing.

I agree tbh I’m just hoping he balls out but 12 catches is a lot. That being said he has had 13 catches once, 11 catches twice, 10 catches twice, and a bunch of 9 catch games

Kupp's a stud, Stafford loves him, and McVay loves drawing up plays for him. All the ingredients are there for it to potentially happen. It's a fun side story for a very important game against a division rival that has definitely had our number of late.

Rams don’t seem to be a personal achievement team

And this opponent isn’t going to oblige

now excuse me while I adjust this unsightly run in my hose

He did have 11 catches on 13 targets against S.F. in the first game. I really hope we are up by 40 and most our starters only play half of the game.

I agree! As much as I would like to see Kupp break the Receptions and Yardage Records I think he is too unselfish (Team 1st Player!!) and I think the Rams are more dangerous if they spread out Stafford’s passes to the other Receivers (OBJ, Jefferson, etc) as well!

BUT, I will be very happy for him if he does break one or both those records!!!

Jet sweeps count as passes, just saying. He needs to at least break Rice's record, but if he needs a couple of easy catches at the end of the game to get over 12 jet sweeps are the easy way.

I mean realistically those are lofty numbers even for this year's Cooper Kupp so there is a good chance you will be right here. But I don't necessarily see this as an achievement that will need to happen inorganically, Kupp is the focal point of our offense, we will likely need him to come up big to win this game, the numbers he's searching for arent THAT crazy compared to the season he has been having.

So while I agree the Rams won't force this to happen just for the sake of it happening, I do think there's a good shot at the rate Kupp has been going it just happens if the Rams play well.

How about Kupp breaking the record and getting two TDs in a total beatdown?

God, I hate the 9ers....

I'd take it...hell ill just be happy if we beat the 9ers cause screw them and their coach:fistbump1::laugh4:

But the people are dying to know which way you voted...

I went with neither. Ratboy will do like he did that year when AD was close to the sack total and gameplan things to where that record doesn't get set vs his team.

I expect they'll double Kupp and generally have their secondary keying him every play. Should be enough to keep him under the yardage total. The catches are possible though, 12 is not insurmountable when you can get it to him underneath even when they're focusing him.

But Kupp is so important to this team's playoff hopes that I don't want to see him getting beat up underneath. Get him some work and decoy him, put Odell in there as early read on some plays and Jefferson/Skow a bit too. Spread it around, pound it on the ground, get the dub, and send these fucks packing.

All of them. I'm hoping he breaks them, with all of my heart. To do it against the 69ers would be a dream.

First lets play to win the game. Shuttle, screen, and short passes can add up quickly but 12 and 136 is a big ask and win the game. It's possible and maybe needed to win. We'll find out. Is triple crown in the bag already?
