I promise you they won’t. For quarterback, the number one predictor of success at the NFL level over the last decade or so has been experience. Number of games, number of snaps. He would have the fewest number of starts for any first round pick since Trey Lance, and we saw how that worked out. QBs with fewer than 20 collegiate starts have *all* underperformed at the NFL over the last decade.
There is no way in hell the Manning Family is going to send Arch to the NFL unprepared just so he can play for McVay. And more importantly, Arch has to *prove* he’s worthy of a top pick. I watched him play last year. He was fine vs two really bad teams. I’m sorry, but “sure fire unquestioned future number 1 pick” did not leap off the screen in those games. People are making way too many assumptions about him as a player. He hasn’t started a single SEC game yet and people want to pencil him in for the number 1 pick. It’s legit one of the craziest things I’ve ever heard.
