Before opening this thread, I had a feeling that this would be about Pettis. Yeah, he tends to get overlooked, but he played great today. He did his job and shouldn't lose a roster spot when Bailey returns.

Agreed. He made a huge play knowing he was going to get drilled. He may not be the flashiest guy on the field but he does produce when he gets the chance.

My game balls go to:

Offense - Davis
Defense - McDonald
Special Teams - Zuerlein and McDonald.
Special Effort Game Ball - Pettis

Would we have seen him if Tavon doesn't get hurt? Would we convert on that crucial play he made? I've always liked Pettis, but we're just deep at WR now - I still would keep him over Givens if it came down to it...

Pettis always makes the tough, clutch catch when it counts.

Great big, catch by Pettis today.
Frankly the team will benefit with him in and Austin out in the short term.
Davis played a nice game but Hill is a better QB.
O line was better but not great. Quick with another solid game.
Run defense is hit and miss,
6 yards a carry. Pretty unimpressed with Williams so far.

Agree on Williams.

Pettis stepped up big today. Several clutch catches including the big one on the winning FG drive.

pettis did real, and so did the other 8 receivers Davis Hit!:D

I was happy to see him get in there and produce today. I think he has kind of gotten the shaft a little with the "new toys" who have not really contributed much Pettis is reliable and makes the clutch plays. I'll take him over Givens any day and unless TA starts putting up some numbers (assuming he isn't hurt again) Pettis is more valuable.

There's a reason he was in the game near the end instead of Givens (other than TA being hurt.). He also was back for punt returns (as long as he remembers to call for a fair catch when needed.)

He always finds his way in close games to make important plays. That's why he's on this roster.

My game ball goes to all the guys on the team for a Gutsy performance....wins on the road are never pretty....much much tougher
