As a Montanan who would spend over a thousand bucks to get to LA, stay for a couple days, and get tickets to watch a team I've rooted for since the 1970s, I couldn't believe all the red in the stands yesterday. I know I'm preaching to the choir as all of you were probably at the game but what real Ram fans sell their tickets to their arch rival? That was embarrassing yesterday to see all the Niners fans in the stands. How can a city of 13 million not find 80,000 diehard fans? Vegas has never had a team yet they packed the house last night.

When the team left in 1995 the fans turned largely into Whiner fans as youngsters. They were winning at the time as well. There is a very large established Whiner fan base in SoCal. It has nothing to do with choosing who you sell tickets to. Which the concept itself s not easy as it may seem to some.

It was disappointing to see but not really that surprised. Thats why playing on the road in the playoffs is not as big of a deal as folks are making it out to be.

I do hope we have some HFA vs AZ Monday but thats a tough time on the West Coast as people work....I can see why the NFL wants to spotlight LA and SoFi, the players will probably love it.

They did that to us in 2014, and the Eagles this year. I believe, and I could be wrong, they plan a "takeover" once or twice a year. I just pray it's not like that at our stadium this Sunday for the playoff game. That would fucking SUCK.

It was like that in the 80s at Anaheim with whiner fans showing up and being heard. I don't remember the Rams having go to a silent count (that's really fucking embarrassing) but a lot were there (f'ing bandwagoners) back then way before the 90's and you could hear the cheering part.

Obviously ownerships love to see ticket sales and sell out. But it would be awesome (yet probably impossible) for them to be more selective when selling seats to visitors if it gets to the point where you have to fucking silent count at home. But what team turns down sales like that?

Lots of other team's fans buy away tickets after schedules are announced. The % of Rams fans selling to them later down the line is unknown. Sadly they want to make their money back for the high expenses, but at the price of jeopardizing some home field. They're too narrow minded to think that just them selling their tix will make a difference. Then it adds up.

To see certain shots of a red sea in the stadium with 2 people in blue/gold off to the side looking bewildered was totally disgusting.

Remember this was NOT a playoff game. Niner fans had this game circled for months, as who wouldn't want to see the Brand New SoFi.

Had it been a playoff game, on shorter notice, while there would have been a lot of away fans, it would not have been like yesterday. Hopefully the home fans show out on MNF.

Funny thing is if we had won I wouldn't want to see them again. The fact that we lost makes me hope we see them again.

I want the satisfaction of sending those fucks home for the year.

5 NFL teams in driving distance from L.A. I am actually pretty impressed with the rate the fan base is building.
It will continue to grow especially if we continue to perform well and entertain. There was hardly a Ram jersey to be found in public pre return, now they are all over. Attending games is for real fans and that part of the base needs time

That sucked! No level of excuses can sugar coat it. If I played for the Rams, I’d be wondering what the fuck is wrong with my city??????

They are smarter than that, it just isn't realistic as rynie says it happens in Dallas.........Dallas.
Not sure how many games you have been to, I have been to a lot and our support of the team has grown greatly.

I became a Rams fan as a little kid about 10 years old in the mid '70s. I moved from Westlake Village to Orange county in 1979. My father bought Rams season tickets in 1980 when they moved to Anaheim. So, I grew up a Rams fan. When I became an adult, I then started purchasing tickets and attending games without my Daddy (lol). When they moved to St. Louis, I started going to games around the country whenever I could. During that time, I traveled to games in St. Louis, AZ, San Diego, San Francisco, Dallas, Philadelphia & Green Bay.

My point is...is that the Rams left LA in 1995 and a whole generation of kids grew up without a local team for twenty years. That is a whole bunch of "kids" that have not turned into a fan base. Now that the Rams are back, I believe it will take another 15 years or so for these "kids" to grow up and buy tickets on their own. Basically, grow into an new fan base. It takes time.

And, frankly I don't give a crap. If there are some 49er fans sitting around me at a game, I'll just tell them to fuck off like I always do anyways!

The Rams are just not a top NFL attraction and wouldn't be in any city.....yet.
It is a problem without an immediate solution. Fan bases are built, not bought.

Yeah, the arguments against the Ram fanbase are vacuous, It is going to be a journey that only winning will expedite.
On another note I knew I liked you, I lived in the first neighborhood for awhile 79-80ish.
Anaheim days were tough the F.O driving the club into oblivion, man we have endured a lot. I identify with the more niche fandom of the Rams. I wouldn't want to be a part of the giant fan bases of the frontrunners. I remember getting tickets for the Lakers day of at below face value and now as soon as someone moves to L.A they are wearing a Lebron jersey. Love the Lakers but not really what being a Ram fan is about to me.

Unfortunately, a massive amount of Rams season tickets are not owned by Rams fans. Those resellers don't care who they are selling to. In fact, when a fanbase starts paying big money for Rams tickets, it makes it even harder for home fans to afford it. I chose to attend the Titans game earlier this year because I couldn't afford tickets for this week.

As far as the Raiders fan attendance this week, look who they played. If they would have played the Chiefs, we would have seen this again.

I Offered my tickets at face value to rams fans here and on rams Facebook and still struggled to sell them. Niner fans were willing to pay way more but I held off.

I don’t think we have the fan base willing to pay the premium price for a game when there are other affordable games to attend a season yet away fans will pay it for the “one” game.
