Roomies called me Rhino as I'm near sighted. Bean is added on so as to use rhino in my username. Still called rhino by a couple of buddies I still see!

I'm a Rasta at heart. I've been a Rasta from eva since ya know.

My immediate family and I love to spend some of our summers every year in Grand Cay Bahamas. It's really a second home for us,,, but we're stuck in Reality most of the year. I've been going there since I was about 15, and even though I'm about to be 47... I'm just as excited to go back now as I was when I was a wide eyed teen,,, but now a days I get to take my own boat over instead of being the First Mate gopher on my Grandfather's boat. We'e about to head back "home" in about a month and a half,,, my wife and 3 sons are all just as excited as I am right now.

Through the years I developed a real admiration for many of my friends over there and more than one are Rastafarian. I picked Haile Selassie I as my name out of respect for my Rasta friends. Not to mention that I listen to more Reggae music than anyone else on earth. It's the only name I've ever used on a Ram forum. It's a perfect fit for me.

Feel free to Google Rhinocerology.

I read the silly ass books years ago and they stuck with me.

I was LARams on the Herd forum back in the late 90's. Then one time when they changed locations and had everyone register again my name was stolen by Mr. Knowitall. Then I became Pancake and I used that moniker for 10 years until joining ROD. I got tired of syrup jokes and went with VCRam. Which just stands for Ventura County Ram.

Great story Pancake. A little syrupy, but good.

I always went by Tampa_Ram in most forums for a long time because....i am from and lived in Tampa.

Over time i wanted a shorter and easier username to use so it would be easy to say my name, log in and wasn't my location(since i move around a lot and don't reside in Tampa anymore).

When I came to this forum I decided to use a new one finally.

I like the movie Tron, even the new one. So I chose it since it fit the criteria I was looking for.

I thought the T stood for.....

LoL and here I was going to call you VietCongRam!

Mine originated from stltoday.com...I used to go by RedBlueandGold or something like that...I changed it because after using that forum for about a year I started to notice how many egos there were...so as a joke I changed it to this just for the irony.

It really pissed a bunch of folks off...I didn't care. If you take yourself to serious on a web forum you got some problems.

I agree totally. People as of those that I first started visiting a forum on previous to this one take themselves WAAAAAAAYYYYYY TO SERIOUSLY.

As for my Story behind my name I visited clanram many moons ago and noticed everybody mostly had ram something in their name so thought I'd come up with something as well..... after the banning I figured I might as well keep my name I had over there. lol

I went to Penn State University. The Mall (Long park like walkway from town to what used to be the middle of campus ending on the Library) is lined with enormous Elm trees. It is quite beautiful. It isn't exactly a grove but more of a double Alee'. I am a bit of a woods bum so that is where the gnome part came in. I thought it had a flow to it.

No offense intended, but you posted in a much more arrogant fashion over at Ramstalk. It seems you were just playing the part. That place is crazy. It seems that every forum that I join eventually starts to boil down to the egomaniacs.

Haha...no, I was just fed up with the BS and decided to stop being polite.

No offense taken. That forum brings out the worst in people, including myself in that. ROD has been great and much more enjoyable.

I think all of us have the capacity to let jerkish behavior turn us into a jerk.

In a less well moderated board, that can actually cause a chain reaction. Otherwise good poster lets his jerkish side come out in response to someone else being a jerk.... then said otherwise good poster is the jerk that turns someone else into a jerk.

Eventually, we're one big circle of jerks...

...

There HAD to be a better way to phrase that.

I've been in that area.......and it's terrible what has happened to the mighty Elm, but it's making its way back.

What the name of the ice cream store.......it well known.......everyone told me I had to go there because it was so delicious.

When I was young, I was a very cocky individual. I would always call myself "The Juggernaut" would all but yell it....fuck, what a tool I was . But anyway, we were at a Mexican bar drinking one night and had a few beers to many....and instead of yelling "I am the Juggernaut!" The ambiance of my surrounding forced a new phrase out...."I am El Juggernauto!" And so, the name was born and it stuck, and now I'm old and realize how douchy I once was and have to live in the embarrassment of that story . Lol
