For my home screen I always go with a solid colour. Makes the icons standout better. Less "noise". Etc.

I use an app called No Wallpaper.

It's all black on the lock and homescreen

On my text screen I use pictures from the beach sometimes but I prefer a screen that allows me to see the icons.
