1967 Roman Gabriel --Jack Snow - Tom Mack

Fearsome Foursome

Melin Olson Deacon Jones Rosey Grier, Lamar Lundy,

The 1967 Los Angeles Rams appeared capable of being a top contender to win the NFL title. In fact, the team posted the best record in the league and won the Coastal Division.
That's where it all began with me! I have a hard time picking a favorite but this would be a contender if I could commit to a favorite. 1999, 2001, and THIS year's team is surprisingly trying to get on that list.

And how could you not of loved the Eric Dickerson years, 83-86. That's why I think I like this year's team so much, we can run on anybody right now. Reminds me of those years where you had a RB that would put 100+ yd games up on a regular basis and often flirt with 200+ and sometimes eclipse that mark. KW is that guy too. No way you can compare anybody with ED because that was poetry in motion with a bang. For those that didn't get to enjoy that era, imagine an Elk with Ram horns at full gallop. That was ED.

And never can you compare a back to Marshall Faulk but KW reminds me of him with some of his stop/redirect/burst moves which gets this year's O cooking.

I don’t know one player you mentioned! Would like to hear more of any knowledge you have. Did you watch on TV? See in person?

'67.. Coastal division... Them were some players!
However - spent some time in the Navy and moving overseas and around a bit, don't recall any satellite and no Internet... so - following any team where you do not live in that area - was tough and is a bad comparison to the modern era.
Lost a QB then Kurt rises from the ashes!! '99 - to the house, baby!!!
And here we are... playing like kids, 'cuz no one gave them a chance!
Damn... That was some serious drafting, McSnead!!!! Love it all. :giggle:

I can't say I've enjoyed any Rams team more than this one.

Between the reinvigorated McVay.. and rookie class that is both excellent and incredibly energetic and positive.. I can't remember a season that had this kind of energy.

But.. 2017? The turnaround? Hurley ascending? That was pretty amazing as well.
It IS a hell of a NFL story.

And I am enjoying the plot so much
I'm not sure I want to read the ending.

2021

Half this board was convinced the Stafford trade was a bad move....I see some of those people not picking the 2021 team which makes me laugh a bit....but that trade coupled with the Miller trade had EVERYONE saying if we don't win the Super Bowl it's a failure. That kind of pressure can't be overstated. And......we beat Brady and the 49ers in the same post season.

1999 was special....but the difference for me is who we beat in the playoffs coupled with the expectations

2001 was an great team. I liked all the Martz teams, I loved his arrogance. The 2004 season was fun as well, even though we were in decline.

Yeah, one of the reasons this is a hard question the older you are. You've got too many memories to choose from. Most definitely 2021 has to be in the mix for every fan. Hell, damn SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS! I say this year and next year's team will sit fondly in your memories as well

Still 1999. The ultimate cinderella season.

Explosive and dominant offense that was so much fun to watch. Finally ending the 49ers dominance over us and a ten year long postseason-less streak.

And Kurt Warner was so damn likeable.

EPIC, soul crushing defeat of the Niners at SoFi in the NFCCG, with more clutch throws from Staff to Kupp. Aaron Donald holding upnhis ring finger, "Ring Me!!!!"

While I would have a hard time picking one season out per the OP question, if I had to pick my favorite NFC championship win by the Rams, that is it ^^^ .... with a bullet.
