Apparently it's blue and black to some. I see white and gold.

This is the actual dress. Clearly it's blue and black, but the picture above is white and gold.

What do you think? It's been driving me crazy.

Second one is clearly black and blue, top one I can see how it looks more white and gold if that's a thing, but it's still black and blue.

Black and blue, due to how our brain sees colors, we assume that shadows and lighting change colors of objects, thus will compensate. It's called color constancy, it takes things such as shadows, lighting etc, and apply them to how we see the world.

Here's a good example of this, we see the shadow and assume the two center boxes are different colors, shadow makes things darker, therefore they assume the bottom one is lighter.

However they're the same color. I went on photoshop and cut out the two squares and put them to the other side, as you can see they're the same color. I didn't tweak anything with the color either, anyone can do it.

I walked in the house last night after work and my wife shoves her phone at me: "What color is this dress?"

"Huh?"

"What color is this dress?"

"Blue and black."

"NO! It's white and gold!"

"No it isn't."

"Oh my God, it's white and gold!"

"You color blind? I'm looking right at it--it's blue and black"

And so on.

Later, the dress changed color for me and it was white and gold but mostly it's blue and black. I'm happy to be proven right and that my brain processes better than hers. :)

Pretty trippy. I just did that.

I don't quite get it. I see an orange square in the middle of the shadow and an orange square sort of floating beside it. In the light I see a brown square with a brown square floating.

Are you saying they're all brown?

hahahahahahah.

Memento rolling in the puntang.

Sorry, someone had to say it.

The first stupid ass image that was shoved in my face by literally ALL of my female friends on FB.....it was clearly fucking white and gold.

The image above looks like an entirely different image.

At any rate, who the fuck cares? As Peter Griffin would say.

Yup, they're all brown. The floating squares are the side and top squares, I basically cut and copied them, and switched them.

So take the side square that looks orange. The "floating" square is the top one, that looks brown. I didn't change anything with the color, a literally just cut it, copied it, and moved it to the shadow area. Same (but with the side square being cut out) with the top one and the floating one to the left of it.

They're the exact same color, but the shadow tricks our brain with how we perceive it.

Strictly in the friendzone with all of them, and there's no shot at getting out. :P

That's no biggie my friend, you have plenty of wingmen and chick references to get a little extra.

Almost all of my friends are women, one is a gay female. She's introduced me to a couple of her friends that are"heteroflexible" as she likes to call them and things worked out well those nights.
