According to Locked on Rams podcast Wentz clashed with his teammates on every team he played for and this was the reason he was “chased off those teams” I hadn’t heard this before. Is this true?

Finally a backup with some starting experience. This needs to be the norm. I got no use for the Wolfs, Mannions and Rypiens since we've seen that basically throwing them into the fire gets too ugly.

Mannion is a great example that McSnead is not OBLIVIOUS to our backup QB needs.

He was a 3rd rounder I believe, and was supposed to fill that quality backup role. It's just that he didn't have the quality of a 3rd round QB...

Great news. You need a capable backup in this league. I have no idea why McVay and Snead have generally decided to let the backup QB position languish. It makes even less sense when you consider that our o-line is bad and our QB is old, injury prone, and immobile. When was the last time we had a capable backup? Blake Bortles? And when was that? The 2017-18 season?

I'm not real high on Wentz, but he has to be better than Rypien. I just don't understand why he wasn't at least brought in for a look once Bennett was put on NFI list.
Read somewhere he's been working with Gruden. So I'm guessing Gruden saw that shit show in Green Bay, called his boy Sean, and made a recommendation.

To be fair, he was a Fisher draft pick, "McSnead" inherited him, along with Goff....

Long overdue move.

6'5 - 235lbs - and could run like a Olympic sprinter (for a QB) at the combine many, many years ago

Before an injury KO'd him he QB'd an 11 - 2 record for Philly's during their SB winning year.

I'd also try and sign Colt McCoy to the PS. With our injury luck we might need him.

Wentz could be our QB of the future. Want to see him on the field soon.
I want Stafford on the field. And Wentz is 30 years old.
but...why did we not do this sooner? Tough one to swallow.
Agreed. Only thing I can come up with is Wentz held out for a starting job, realized he's not getting it, and finally caved.

No comparison between Wentz and Stafford. One is a hall of famer that won a super bowl and has carried his team on his back every year while the other one had 2 decent years and then was cut after a year by the next 3 teams he played for. Don't misunderstand... I am hoping that Wentz can revive his career, in some capacity, with the Rans... this is more about QBR ratings.
