I'm yet to be convinced we are better than a 6 or 7 win season. Destiny isn't why we lost to Cincinnati, it was lack of preparedness (coaching) and some horrible calls by the ref's. McVay's decision making process was a dumpster fire, forgetting he had a rushing attack isn't destiny, it's a choice, ... placing Zach Thomas in a position which could easily have knocked Stafford out for the season was criminal, not resorting to a 12 personnel set when we can't block or find an open WR, c'mon, ... continuing to rely on Mike Hoecht is obscene, at least experiment (rotate) some with Nick Hampton & Keir Thomas, same at CB with rotating in Tre Tomlinson/Duke Shelley or even that new kid, Mike Ojemudia.
Most everyone has the Colts penciled in as a win, this is another road game (3 out of our first 4), and Indianapolis is surprisingly at 2-1 with a recent victory over Baltimore on the road. No longer are the Colts or Cardinals guaranteed wins for us. Get your shit together McVay or let LaFluer call the offensive plays.

I thought Nsekhe looked the best out of everyone we trotted out there at LT last year. I was surprised they didn't retain him, at least for functional depth. Would've made a huge difference last night.
If Nsekhe were out there at LT last night, Rams would have had a legit chance to win.

Z Thomas vs. T. Hendrickson was one of the worst mismatches I've seen in a while. Thomas was a turnstile on nearly every play.

I heard people say some good things about ZT in the preseason-- especially at Guard, as I recall. But ZT at LT was just a disaster last night.

So if AJ is out, Rams have no choice but to go with Noteboom at LT. And they better try someone else at backup LT-- perhaps AJ Arcuri. But unfortunately, IMO, Thomas just cannot be trusted at LT again this season, he was in way over his head.

The team has been over performing, it's the coach that has been hindering. And our coach is not a spring chicken in this league anymore.
The over performances, to my eyes, were in large part *becuase* of McVay. Some very good offense scheming to get players open in weeks 1 and 2. No idea what he was doing last night though. Easily one of his worst showings as a Ram.

I've been saying it all along. This is a playoff caliber roster, they simply need to gain experience. I said this season would depend upon the coaching and it's been validated through these games. We lost this one by officials point shaving and piss poor play calling by McVay. Things will smooth out as both the players and McVay hit their stride.

Most of all we saw that the Niners are not unbeatable. If the Rams are healthy going into that final game, IMO the Rams win it. These games have been great learning experience for a very young team. They will get better. My only reservation is with Morris holding the defensive development back because he's incompetent. His defensive playcalling was stupid. He had an injured QB and yet he left the short zone undefended!! C'mon man that fucking makes no sense. You know Burrows will not want to hold the ball so if you give him short easy completions he's going to take it. The only reason the Bengals didn't score more was because they dropped so many passes.

Morris plays counting on mistakes by the offense. If they play mistake free they are almost guaranteed a minimum of 3 points. That is just plain stupid. The Bengal announcers knew it and joked about it because it's that obvious. I'm not saying anything that others are seeing as well.

Yea I oversimplified and overexagerated on my original statement. I rewrote what I should have stated after Angry Ram pointed out the same as you.

Although I will say I think alot of the praise needs to go to the position coaches as well, for how well our team as been performing.

Some of yall just love to be miserable and look at the glass half empty.

I bet when we went 0 for November is 2021 you didnt think we 'd win a Super Bowl either.

The team has played well in 2 of the 3 games and could easily be 3-0. I like where we are at. Beat the Colts on Sunday!

"Lets not go throwing the baby out with the bathwater here."

Coulda sworn I saw that in this forum before. At least twice. It's kind of a favorite saying in these parts. The last time I saw it was when Jeff Fisher was coach. Back then we did throw the baby out with the bathwater. Yuck! :sick2:

Constantly complaining about others complaints. Yeah, that’s not the same thing.

This team has played better than expected due largely to the OL. But if Jackson can't hold down LT the outlook changes considerably.

I would not say we are a playoff team. Stafford is a different QB without that blindside locked down. And I feel a sense of doom relying on Noteboom at LT.

Also, point out the defense so far is 7th in yards/gm, 7th in passing yards/gm, 6th in QBR against, 2nd in 3rd down %, and given up 1 passing td. All while playing against a plethora of top tier WRs every week so far.

It seems that McVay's plan was to score quick points, believing the Bengals secondary was vulnerable to longer developing plays. hopefully giving the Rams a two possession lead early. Problem being that they have really good DE"s/OLB's who gave Stafford trouble early on. When Jackson went down, it seemed to be a race to see who could hit/sack the QB first. What was there, like 5 sacks on Matthew? Our Oline couldn't protect him and we were behind. I know one of his interceptions was to a spot the WR was supposed to be, but the guy zigged right instead of left. McVays's early game plan hadn't worked, but then at the end, he was locked into having throw all of the time.

We should have been doing a ball control offense with 8 minute drives. We should have worn out our RB's by rushing them. Puka/Tutu should have eaten them alive with 5-10 yard routes.

It's simplistic to just blame the QB for turnovers when the Oline is blocking for shyte. Hopefully we get Jackson back next week and can figure out how to stop the blitzing. With time, Stafford has been balls on accurate and will be again once this is fixed. We have in the Niners and this game shown other teams how to get after Stafford this way and this needs to end.

Agree, sometimes its just not meant to be for whatever reason.

I looked at the Higbee TD, the ball was snapped before the whistle was even close to refs mouth. Taylor didnt signal TO until the ball was snapped. That play should have stood.
It’s really amazing all the things that lined up against us—I’ve never seen anything like that—and we still only lost by a field goal.

Yeah I got the feeling that McVay wanted to get an early lead before starting to run the ball. This game was there for the taking. SMH.

One thing that McVay doesn’t do well is make changes on the fly. He makes a plan and sticks with it, even if it is not working. Then, instead of saying that he should have made some different adjustments to the attack, he says, we nearly had three TDs on Tutu’s Higbee’s and Puka’s plays that came up a little short. As if he’s justifying why his plan should have worked. Is he too arrogant or stubborn? Id have started running more after I saw the Bengals took Puca away from the passing attack.

Tutu’s heel didn’t touch the line btw. It was raised, so that was BS.

Yes we have a good defense. Probably gonna slide a bit if the OL falls apart but we should be competitive in most games on the strength of this secondary.

I’ll respond how and when I chose, you could however, follow your own advice if you’d like.

In order for me to be happy like you I just want to make sure I get the logic. Complaining about the team = miserable but complaining about complaining = happy?
