The issue is that we are not consistent other than we are consistently not consistent. I am not a big fan of fighting for the playoffs with a team that doesn't have the tools needed to win in the playoffs. If we think teams play us hard now....imagine in the playoffs. (I don't want my Rams to be like the Cowboys in the playoffs).

But yes, technically this team is not done.

We do not have a functioning offensive line for what Coach McVay wants to do on a regular basis. If he starts using more tight ends and play action and shorter route combos then maybe but then again our QB is injured. and he wasn't even playing well when he was healthy. Our defense is getting exposed. Our 3 weak links on D are Christian Rozeboom, Derion Kendrick and Michael Hoecht. There has to be better alternatives out there. They are getting abused week in and week out by D-Coordinators who smell blood in the water. We are adverse to setting an edge and playing contain on defense against any kind of mobile QB-there is no discipline at all on these. Our special teams punt unit continues to outkick the coverage-fail to wrap up. We have a pedestrian return game. We don’t have a RB that strikes fear into anyone. Our coach is oblivious to our shortcomings and won’t play to our team’s strengths. He want to do it his way until Stafford sustains a season ending injury. We are a bad football team that is mediocre on its best day.

This is definitely a key game for us due to that bye, and what a victory would do for the team going into that break. Then if they survive the post-bye game where McVay usually has an advantage they're at .500 with a reasonably favorable sched ahead of them.

Packers are 20th in passer rating against, which is a real nice metric of how effective their defense is overall vs the pass game. They're 20th in points against, which jives with a weak pass defense. They're 12th in pressures per. So that speaks to a weak secondary but they won't be an easy matchup for our OL who need to play a lot better.

They're also 19th in yards per on the ground. So not a great defense though again protections will be key. And we're gonna need Stafford to beat these clowns though it is probably possible for us to truck them on the ground if we play Freeman and feed him enough in the first half to wear them down.

Next two games are necessary to keep this team in it. They're too young to go 4 games in the hole without crumbling I think.

I hate to write this, but I think they've already crumbled.

I so hope I'm wrong and we'll find out this weekend.

This has been one of the crazier years in recent memory.

Ex: MIA lays 70 on DEN.

Then, DEN beats KC.

At this point? Anything goes.

Packers have lost 4 straight, but, I think they will steamroll us on Sunday sorry to say. It's going to be tough to watch

Well, we're good enough to win this game. We're also bad enough to lose it. The grind of the season tends to wear down lesser teams as it goes on. Then losing streaks start to happen. Are we one of those lesser teams?

If Stafford can't go I don't see us winning this one. Rypien looks every bit as bad as Wolford or Perkins. Its probably going to be like most games last year after Stafford went down. Where the offense couldn't sustain anything and the defense wore down.

We win in Lambeau on Saturday, get to 4-5 at the bye.

Right in the thick of the playoff hunt.

Most folks would have gladly taken that in August.

Stick with em!
I just don't see that with either Rypien or whoever not Stafford at QB

Hate to tell you this guys but very very few OLs can stand up when you only pass and never run. This OL is good if McVay simply doesn't abandon the run and stays with his 11 personnel. He forgets 11 personnel worked great when he had Gurley and the threat of the explosive run to back off the front 7.
