Wagner should be huge in this first game.

Id rather have Jones on Allen, he's more athletic. But we'll see what we do there. We might not even spy Allen as we have a ton of exp. containing running QB's.

I don't think either of our ILBs have the wheels to spy Allen. Allen's quite an athlete. Just ensure the contain is good on the edges and have the ILBs sweep up in front if he escapes the pocket.

No. I think all the LBs will take turns spying Allen...but I think it's primarily gonna be Floyd.

I’ll be watching ILB with Wagner/EJ the most when Rams are on defense tonight. This could be top 3 tandem in the NFL and I don’t recall the Rams having that since I became a fan in 1972.

1976 says "Hello"...

Isiah Robertson
Jack Reynolds
Jim Youngblood

Honestly... pretty much any trio from 73-80 was a great trio, I sure hope you're right about this years group though!

Allen is probably easier to get your hands on than Murray and Wilson. Its the taking down part that can be tricky.

Josh runs a 4.76 so both Jones (4.69) and Wagner have the speed because they also should have the angle as well. It's Allen's size that is the problem tackling him. He's over 6'4" 234 lbs, i.e. he's built like a LB.

The Rams definitely can play with the Bills. Play clean play aggressive and I see the Rams taking this game.

Wasn’t Robertson an OLB? I was referring to a 2 ILB tandem.

Maybe that's not a bad idea...have noticed that Floyd sometimes loses contain against the Murray's and Wilson's out of sheer eagerness for the sack.

Wagner is very good at getting guys on the ground. That's why I think he will be huge against Allen tonight. If the gets his hands on Allen he's going down.

You think B. Wagner at 32 still runs a 4.76 forty?

It's not any one thing. Sure his size is a problem. But so is his strength, this isn't a guy who lets anyone take him down easy. Also his agility is a problem and for DL you see them have problems with that, where he moves and fakes to get good position to make himself even harder to bring down. And his speed is real, sure most defensive players out there on the field are as fast as him in terms of 40 time, but you'll still see him get the corner on guys and turn it up.

We cannot give him that sideline. Rams have to contain him well or they will lose this game. And when I say sideline I mean let him run around in the flat and look downfield.
