What I gathered from watching McVay’s decision to rest our starters vs Seattle was that, in the long run, he thinks we have a better chance of beating Minnesota and Detroit than we do Washington and Philly. He’s probably tight. We’ve proven that we can beat Minnesota and have come close to beating Detroit at their place the last two times we’ve faced them. Going into a frigid Philly, a team that humiliated us weeks ago, and winning is a tall task. Best let another team try to knock them off.

That said, after watching the Vikings-Lions game last night, if we bring heat to Darnold and disguise our blitzes well, we can beat them. He seemed to only have eyes for Jefferson last night and withered under pressure. A Ram victory also depends on Stafford being Buffalo Matthew and not SF Matthew who got lucky after several defenders dropped sure interceptions. Some games I’ve seen the soul-stealer in his eyes and other games he looks unsure and less confident. Let’s hope the offense rallies and the defense continues to make the plays they need to in order to keep this team moving forward.

Agreed, if Stafford is on we can and should win.

His Hall of fame bid is in the balance, if he can put together another soul-stealer playoff run then he can solidify an argument as deserving of a spot.

We already beat the Vikings 30-20 which kicked off our winning streak. So we can beat them.

We are coming in hot, with wins vs Teams such as the 14 win Vikings and the 13 win Bills.

Any given Sunday man, but if Stafford is On it we we are winning.

Bets possible first round scenario for us. Rush can get after Darnold. If Stafford and the Offense is on then we have a great chance.

Aint no way. That guy has something against the Rams.....F em.
Maybe, maybe not. I am sure because of the trade there might be extra motivation. Regardless Rams need to take these games one at a time and looking on the bright side playing Minnesota, even if it does rain in Southern California the field will not be affected.

The offence needs to get out of its recent slump, but the key to this game is covering Jefferson. If the secondary can keep a lid on him, and the DL keep pressure on Darnold, we really should be winning this game.
Their K is shaky. Bad missed FG and bad kickoff out of bounds....that let to a FG prior to the half.

If Havenstein plays, I see Stafford on his game. If we have Noteboom at RT, then Stafford will think he has to get the ball out quickly and he has a tendency to misread coverages/routes because of that. Look at some of the throws in the Cardinals game. I swear he was worried all the time that Noteboom's guy would get to him.

What scares me is our young defense. They give up the edge too much and often seem to take the bend but don’t break approach of Raheem’s defense. Yesterday Geno Smith picked us apart and it seemed to me that most of our starters were playing on defense. We seem to give up a lot of short, uncontested passes and, if we end up facing the Lions in round two, not sure how we keep up with the speed of Gibbs. He’s in his prime right now.
I love this team but believe we’re still a year or so away. Then again, the ‘79 team was 9-7 and went to the Super Bowl. If we play our best, anything is possible.

My perfect wild card weekend scenario:

Rams beat Minny
GB beats Philly
Wash beats TB

That would send GB to Detroit and Wash to LA.

The next week GB over Detroit and Rams over Wash

That would give us 3 straight home games.
