I know there's Faulk, Dickerson and Gurley, but isn't there an argument that SJax was the greatest Rams RB ever? Dude was on the worst teams in franchise history and still put up great numbers. He's the sole reason we're not a part of the 0-16 club. He would not lose against Detroit in 2009. He was also the longest tenured Ram out of those four.

The Rams let S-Jax down. He stuck around for the resurgence, but he needed a Walter Payton type career length to see it pay off.

This amazing Rams organization makes sure to have him around and appreciates what he did as a Ram. I saw him many times, nearly every game at the Coli. hanging out during warmups, and they were sure to introduce him at some point of the game to a huge roar from the crowd.

S Jax was great. One of my all time favorite Rams. The definition of heart. Plus imo opinion he was Beast mode before Beast mode. Steven Jackson ran behind some horrible Oline and still succeeded.

On the flipside I hated that roid raging Sean Merriman and his stupid sack celebration. I recall someone on the Rams imitating it during a game vs the chargers, after a sack. Merriman was a sack, if you know what I mean.

I will always believe that the 2009 season may have been the greatest performance by a running back ever. Our offense was SJ, right SJ left, SJ up the middle. All of the NFL knew this. Easy game plan. And yet over 1400 yards and a pro bowl. It will never be talked about because of the won loss record but it was magnificent.
