Matt Canada should send Morris and the rest of the defense a fruit basket tomorrow as a thank you for allowing him to keep his job another week. What a choke job by the defense in the 4th.

McVay has no business calling an empty set first down play to start the half. Just absolutely moronic. Tired of hearing his bullshit week in and out, hand over play calling duties to someone who knows how to read the flow of the game.
Yeah before the snap I was yelling at the TV. Just not sure why he outsmarts at least once or twice in every game. He needs to get back to basics

This whole Youth Movement is not that good. There are a few stars, Byron Young, Avila, Puka, and Ethan Evans, Kobie Turner But the other we have starting are just major glaring issues.

Russ Yeast is not a star of the future, Rozenbloom is not an answer, Ernest Jones hasn't impressed in his few years, Notebloom is hurt all the Time, Hoecht should NEVER be in coverage, Derion Kendrick is an idiot, Quentin Lake is not impressive either.

I know we're planning for 2024 but this season is hard to watch with all these late round fails in my opinion.
To be fair, if you come out of year one of your youth movement with 5 core players that's pretty amazing. And Ernest Jones is one of the best young linebackers in the league so that's 6.

Isn't lafluer supposed to be a run scheme dynamo......but why is every run seeming the same up the middle right into the teeth of the defense.
the runs up the middle were working... the runs outside were not

Don't know why everyone seems suprised at the Kicker. Dude was not even on the official roster to start and Maher was cut because he sucked at his last team's.

He was a scrub "starting" kicker we picked up because we didn't focus on a new kicker and decided to go with the cheapest one, because we were "building for 2024".

And now our cheap decision is getting costly.
I think we all new he would cost us some games when they selected him. 2 so far.

even if Higs made the catch, he was about to get popped and probably would have dropped it anyway
I agree.
When I saw the replay, I wasn’t pissed anymore.
The defender went right into Higgs where the ball would have been.
Even if caught, I doubt Higgs holds into it.

It was a nice play by the defender.

Maybe if the pass was thrown sooner, we have a better chance.

Too many mistakes too many bad calls by the zebras and playing a rested team off their bye week

For those who want to blame McVay, a coach can only do so much. Lets be real about it. The talent level isn't good enough to sustain a win streak. Especially on defense.

This isn't the only loss we will have against a mid level team. Looking at the schedule there are a number of teams who are at the level of .500 or worse. I guarantee as much as we will win some of those games, we're also going to lose some them.

There are also a few teams who are better than .500 and we're likely not gonna win any of those games. We were warned this team was not gonna be that good.

The way I see it, we shouldn't be all that upset about losing to a team better than we are. We are at about the level of those Jeff Fisher teams that could only manage 7 wins.

These are some good points hate to say it because I love him but the mcvay part is very interesting and seems very true. Add the time out management to it as well there were a lot of things that annoyed me

Nothing you can do about bad refereeing. They screwed us today. But there's plenty we could have done to win this game despite the refs. We chose the unreliable kicker. McVay called a five wide pass on the first play of the second half, despite our success running the ball. Stafford decided to throw a near pick six. Our defense fell apart in the fourth quarter when we needed them the most. And Higbee dropped a critical conversion.

They were many times but when we were trying to hold on for dear life they were repetitive and going nowhere and tomlin knew it and just played for it to get the ball back

The fact that we're a competitive team is a testament to McVay. We have a young team that lacks talent at a number of important spots.

I love you all, Ramily.

I don’t even want to think about this loss.

I’m just gonna avoid football for the week and check in here and there.

Games like this make me question things. Honestly, if we weren’t inflicting so many self-inflicted injuries, the reffing would have me on the verge.

This officiating has to be addressed. Even my youngest son, a new football fan in his mid 20s, watched this game and part of the Lions game and he walked out. He’s a potential new fan and his last few times watching NFL games, he’s frustrated to the point of not watching anymore.

The NFL can’t afford to alienate new fans who increasingly expect tech based fairness. They just can’t.

I hope the other half of this gummy kicks in so I can mellow out cuz I’m still angry enough to chew nails

The good news (I guess?) Is that pretty much everything we were worried about is in fact the issue with this team.

We need a blue Chip corner in free agency.

We need a premiere edge presence

We need to be able to put up more of a fight against competent defenses (more linemen like Avila?). Blueprint is there tho.

I hear ya. I just always think of this article and how it feels like we just trying to fill holes and not going by talent.
