Why did we not resign Gay? He might have been expensive the next 2 years but the CAP is going to go up quite a bit from the new TV contracts. (Or am I wrong.) He is 12 of 14 for the Colts and one of the one's he missed was due to being blocked. His fault? I would have to look at it to get a better idea.

I basically said this year to myself - ehh we aren't a very good team this year (kinda average) but we will be competitive enough to drive me crazy when we do lose.

This team is working hard to find ways to lose.
I think this team is not finding ways to win. They just trot out the same old shit every game, regardless of opponent. Teams game plan against us, arrogant ass McVay thinks this team's scheme can beat anyone as long as the players execute. It's hard headed and I'm not surprised to see the results like today and earlier in the season against Cinci.

Not a good game by Stafford. He needs to stop trying to chuck it downfield on every pass play. More than once he forced the ball deep and missed and I was yelling toss it to Henderson standing at the line of scrimmage no ones around him... the Rams are too impatient with their play calling.

It just sucks that a week is ruined sports-wise. Tell me again why it was a good move to not re-sign Matt Gay?
Matt Gay was a great kicker but the Rams would still be 3-4 at best with Matt Gay and have about 25 million in salary cap allocated to a kicker that can only convert when the offense can put together a drive and convert a 3rd down. Not many chances when your QB’s completion rate is < 50%. Stafford has missed his throws by 10 - 15 yards. Only decent pass he threw all day was gifted to TJ Watt. That was the turning point in the game.

The Stafford pick has to be one of the worst throws I've seen him make as a Ram. Just hard to believe he didn't see Watt there. Seems like this team hates momentum, hates success. I mean they go up 9-3 then the pick, then get the lead back 17-10 and can't sustain a drive or miss FG's. I would say I can't believe it but they've been doing this all season. They just hate momentum.

The home stadium being full of the opponents fans is a f'ing travesty. Makes me sick watching it.

NO.
Matt Gay would have made the two FG's and extra point, resulting in 7 points more for the Rams. Plus, not giving the Steelers excellent field possession after the two missed FG's. It would have changed the complexion of the game, confidence wise with Matt Gay in automatic mode.

We need a LT, CB1, and an impact edge. Those positions are critical and we not have Playoff caliber talent there now.
Yes and all of those are cornerstone roles. Only cornerstone player we have is the QB and he is unlikely to survive the season with these protections.

Important perspective I think is that it's a miracle this staff had us at 3-3 given this schedule.

This was a frustrating game to watch; between McVays play calling; Kendricks inability to cover anyone and that idiot kicker. Oh, don't let me forget all the four perfectly thrown passes from Stafford that were dropped and there may have been two or three more.

If you thought the refs were bad it this game you're right but it was nothing compared to the Tennessee Alabama game. All NFL and College refs suck! Please tell me if there is a way to find out where these people live; the commissioner will not do anything about it, I'm past being tried of these MFers ruining the game I love. Who's with me!

Can’t wait to see all my Squeeler buddies this week. 20 years and counting. Golden opportunity to get to 4-3 pissed away. I’ve never seen a team that loses momentum so quickly. 3-5 after next week

One final thing, we'd really benefit from some help at HB. Some of y'all will look at the running game today and say, "But we ran the ball well." I agree. The OL has been quite good this year at opening up holes. They were again today. But we don't have a HB who is a threat to house it. We don't have a HB who breaks a lot of tackles. Kyren is a solid HB, but we'd benefit so much from a guy who has more speed. There were a lot of opportunities today for big plays that our JAG HBs just couldn't execute.

Six more points, likely. We don't go for two if Gay makes the first PAT. But Pittsburgh not being able to use the two missed FGs for scoring drives, and our squad having a 23-10 lead with all the momentum instead of a 17-10 lead with lost momentum would have likely turned this game from a loss to a comfortable win.

Kendricks sucks and there is only one poster on this board that does not think Morris does too. You know who I'm talking about.
