We need a WR or RB that can provide explosive plays. Would a TE add that explosive element or just be more of the possession receiver type?
Yeah, I posted the same. Nobody scares the defense in terms of them worrying about giving up a 30 or 40 yrd play. Sure every now and then Kupp might get loose, but Nacua seems to have lost a 1/2 step with his injuries. And he is the kind of player that will get beat up with his play style.

They need an explosive TE and a WR that forces the defense to give up more of an underneath cushion. Kind of like what the Rams D was forced to do playing against the Dolphins offense.

I don't see it. The Dolphins don't look that good to me.
The Rams shot themselves in the foot time after time. No off sides and we get that FG. That blob Jackson does not sail it over Staffords head, more points. Rozzenboom should have had that pick.
Our O line was out of whack. For a team without much of a pass rush they got to our QB a lot.
Just how many sacks has Limmer given up ?
This game was mostly about the O line not looking like themselves. I was worried about it with 3 new guys all of a sudden. And 2 of them could have played.
Its just a lot to ask all at once for those guys to play like a cohesive unit.

Problem is mcvay is better than that and should have only brought in Avila not Jackson.

I think this season is done folks. I should have been tipped off when Donald retired. The injuries were too many to overcome.
Maybe.
Have to win the division to make the playoffs more than likely.
The Cards are 6-4 with a favorable schedule.
Pats, Eagles, Saints....the Rams can win those three games. Or could lose two of three if they execute like they did tonight.
6-6 for the Rams won't matter is the cardinals are stacking up wins and the Whines are two games ahead.

I agree. But I'm wondering if they should blow up the offense and remake it in the mold of the defense: young, fast, and hungry?

The offense feels stale and I think it's more than just bad OL play.
Agree...the offense lacks juice at WR & TE, which also makes them more predictable.

I don't remember one missed tackle by a Rams player all night.
I can only think of a few. Durant missed on third down and jonnu absolutely trucking Rozeboom. But yeah, their players were consistently getting into space and eating up chunks of yards before contact.

Williams fumble was bad.. but he ran well and broke several tackles in the second half.
If Jackson doesn’t snap the ball over Stafford’s head.. who knows what happens on that drive. Changed everything.
Jackson was brutal tonight.
The OL got going a bit on that drive running the ball, which of course, helps the pass pro as well.
Bad snap and a sack with miscommunication on the OL.

I meant broken tackle by a Rams offensive player, sorry.

Crazy thing is that they used to prioritize this. Whether it was Sammy Watkins, brandin cooks, or Van Jefferson. They knew they needed a consistent deep threat.

McVay said the offense has been inconsistent in the presser- Stafford when asked said it was inconsistent tonight.

Nah Mattthew its been inconsistent all year.

I'm not so sure. I think it's hard to hit deep Wrs when your oline has not performed well.
Where's our speed on offense. It's more than whether we're hitting deep stuff. Who's the homerun threat?

I'm talking about more than just this game.

Verse was phenomenal as usual. Fiske only has two plays that stood out. A missed sack that led to a long conversion and a blindsided block penality.
Was Ticky tack: https://www.nfl.com/news/league-owners-vote-to-eliminate-blindside-blocks-0ap3000001024314

Fiske led with his hands. You can see them extend out on replay. He got the OL in the shoulder, but it was a bit removed from the play. Could have been a block in the back, but if the lineman changed his position mid block and gave Fiske his back then it’s nothing.

Fiske could have blown him up, but didn’t. I’m leaning toward should have been a non call.

Both McVay and Stafford are understating the truth. It hasn't been that inconsistent.

The offense has been consistently bad this year.
