Agreed. The fact that the perihelion (which is where the slowdown maneuver would be performed if it wants to stay in our system) is directly opposite Earth on the other side of the sun is a ridiculous coincidence. And the cited percentages of other elements are ridiculously low, I mean just a 2% chance for it to emerge in alignment with the plane of the planets, not to mention drive by of three of them.

I am sure it is just a comet. But damn. And it's nice to know that at least one scientist is intelligent enough to break from the herd and apply scientific principles in a defensive mindset for our planet. Which is why I have a ton of respect for Avi.
