Any old completely washed up DBs or EDGE we can sign? Looks like that's what we'll be after.

After the draft and trading for Hill you think they are still looking at DBs?

Maybe a mid season trade if edge is a problem but the Eams are not desperate.

I'd still add a S, or perhaps a vet CB. A lot of unknowns at CB behind Ramsey/Hill and S is still questionable.

No shock here. Plenty of post draft & camp cuts coming for everyone.

I'm guessing they knew this was likely and that's why they went heavy on db in the draft and traded for Hill. There wasn't as big of a need if they expected Tyrann to come here. Personally, I was kind of lukewarm on him anyway and would have been a short term answer. I like a couple of the DBs we drafted and Hill can man that line of scrimmage look out of the nickel slot.

The Troy Hill move kind of confirmed he wasn't in the plans, likely not affordable. Hill gives you more bang for the buck and doesn't affect the 23' cap. And by then hopefully one or two guys, from this yrs draft, have a shot to contribute more... Which is why they loaded up on the secondary in the draft.

It was pretty obvious we weren't getting him as many posters are saying based on the draft. Only person I'd see them go after is Clowney if he's not trying to break the bank as the Rams have been big in giving out 1 yr rental deals to pass rushers. Any of the older pass rushers could also be a possibility but they were affordable to begin with so we would have signed them already if we really wanted them. More likely is a trade later in the year if they determine the young guns aren't ready to step up.

I was on the fence with Mathieu. Apparently the Rams were too. They drafted a bunch of guys at DB. Traded for an experienced guy who's familiar with the team and played with a lot them. I think we will be fine in the secondary. Guys who showed potential are coming back. Right now our depth chart looks good enough.

Ramsey, Hill, Long, Rapp, Fuller, Scott, Burgess, Rochelle. And plenty of rookies to battle for the last spots. I'm fine with that depth chart as is.

Rather put the limited $$ towards an Edge FA, cut or trade. Troy Hill trade sealed the deal.

It is possible that the way the board fell for the Rams, they were able to secure guys in the secondary that the coveted and then let Honey Badger know they were out, which made signing with 'Aints the clear path. Now, I'd love to hear conversation about signing Clowney, he's really the last current FA I'd be quite happy about us signing.

I wanted him, but I realized today that I really wasn't taking into account how much Bobby Wagner is affecting how the Rams view the back end.

If anything, Raheem Morris is gonna be able to be creative in a way that was never possible last year, including when Von started to go off...
