They found him "too valuable" to put him in at punt returner.

He was certainly fast enough to play that position, just never really got the chance.

He almost died a couple of times as a returner in the NFL. Thank god McVay put an end to that because I couldn't watch.

.I disagree, if he ended up on KC I think he would thrive, or a L Jackson. Tutu had a crazy stat this year, he was the highest rated WR on the rams when he was on the field. I think it was completion % or yards per route. By a wide margin. Id have to look it up. But I think with the rams they are setup to have their wrs block like TEs and tutu doesn't play that style of ball. It's a miss draft pick by snead for sure but if he goes to more a spread team or a team w a mobile QB I think he'll become a good weapon on that team.

To be specific

Tutu was top seven qualified receivers in YPRR in the NFL when on the field. That's pretty damn good.

Yes, Tutu's inability to block kept him off the field but more importantly, that inability and his limited route tree led him to not be able to line up in various formations to make the play look the same presnap and even postsnap before hitting the defense with something different.

I'd say slightly moreso than blocking, making it so the defense isn't sure if run or pass or which passing concept is coming kept him on on the bench more.

Tutu performed well in limited opportunities. Some clutch catches 3rd and 4th down. Stepped up with some good production when others were injured.

If only his arms were magically 10 inches longer, he could widen his catch radius and be a greater threat.

Except, seems like Stafford throws at him fairly frequently in his limited snaps, so this whole "trust" thing doesn't hold credence. Hell, he threw at him in a critical money at the end of the Eagles game, one of only two snaps he played.
If you’re not seeing the field in a McVay’s offense it’s because he doesn’t trust you. Simple as that.

Amazing that a lot of the same people who went full panic mode when Tutu was drafted ahead of Creed Humphrey are now lamenting the fact that Tutu isn’t going to be resigned. Tutu was a smaller version of Van Jefferson. Very low ceiling because of his physical limitations. If he could have been able to return punts or kickoffs he would likely still be here. You just can’t keep a roster spot for a backup that can’t play special teams.

Tutu and Tavon had another thing in common. Rams didn't know how to use either of them. We've come full circle.

I’m completely okay with this. Need a dog with speed and at least average size opposite Nacua.

he is much, much better than Austin.
Austin was just fast.
Tutu is a receiver who can run routes and has good hands.
His size is very limiting however.
Who was it identified Austin as worth that $42=ish million extension?!

Tutu had 579 yards receiving, while only playing 38% of the snaps. Just saying.
He had some PI calls that aren't accounted for in the yards either.

Just having a guy like that on the field changes things.

Unfortunately McVay didn't use him.

He shouldn't. Better to go to a team that can potentially utilize his skill set more.

When will the drama end...

BTW, the Chief`s center pretty much holds that entire offensive line together, and even allowed them to play a OG at OT.

Just trying to see here, out of the WR who the Rams let go, any of them amount to much?
I laugh at the posters who say stuff like McVay didnt know how to use him. Truth is, if McVay cant figure it out, chances are nobody can
