If true, there were only 4 Bears players on the list with Jared Allen (2 yrs w/Bears) Devin Hester, Julius Peppers (3 yrs w/Bears) and Steve McMichael (senior finalist).
Three with more impactful careers than Torry Holt? Hmmm...

The word is Hester, Peppers and McMichael. I wouldn't have a problem with that except I don't see why Hester is leap frogging the line.

Rumors that there were a couple shockers, including one that NFL.com declared a "mortal lock", who didn't make the cut so Holt still has a shot.

Stroud wins OROY, which was expected but a 48-2 vote is a little disappointing.

I know Myles Garrett is a top 10 defensive player in the league for years now, but I'm with Steeler fans. Should've been TJ Watt.

Yeah, it's official, Holt missed out again. That's now 12 WRs they've put into the Hall the last 10 years while leaving him out.

How does eligibility work? Is it like with baseball where he drops from the “ballot” and can’t be selected after a certain number of years?

There's a 20 year window of eligibility before a player is no longer a modern era candidate and his fate rests with the Seniors Committee. Holt has ten more years before that happens.

I know there has been a log jam at WR for HOF selection, but that excuse is getting thin for "Big Game."

Torry is more deserving than at least half the guys on there. Certainly more than either Johnson or Hester.

I'm pissed. Feel bad for Big Game. He's gonna get in but it's BS to see him punished for the weapons in that offense. Because that's what I feel like this is.
