Robot. Machine. Yes those are accurate words to describe Goff’s QBing. He’s good as long as all the other power cables are ON and functioning properly.

I’ll never trust Goff to make the clutch play in the biggest moments when shit ain’t working around him.

What a difference a good offensive line makes. In 2017 when Goff had time to throw he was a surgeon. The Vikings game that year was perfection. Once the Rams Oline declined and teams really pressured Goff he wasn’t so accurate. Now he has confidence in his line again and good protection. He’s back to his old form. However, a few times when he’s felt the need to run tonight, his accuracy wasn’t good. His int in this game looked like his old Rams INTs. They were like brain farts.

So, if a team can pressure him or move him then he’s not as good. The problem is, the Lions Oline makes that very difficult.

In the first half of the Rams/Lions playoff Goff wasn’t pressured at all and he was picking the secondary apart. In the second half when the pass rush started to get through they stopped scoring.

He hasn’t really changed. Everything around him has changed. He’s got great protection, lots of weapons, a great running game, and an innovative offense. It’s like the same exact situation as the 2017 Rams.
I believe you are referring to the 2018 Rams, and I agree. That was the best version of Mcvay's offense that I have ever seen.

I get that sentiment.... Kind of. He made the plays in the 2018 NFCCG though...

Ask Mcvay how bad he would have went for it against Detroit NOW instead of ending the season.
What does this even have to do with Campbell being overly aggressive? No one mentioned McVay at all.

Well, he did respond to a football topic, with a football comment. That's pretty good for So Ram.

He could have easily responded to the topic of Campbell's aggressiveness, with a recipe for Belgian Waffles.

Yea you keep telling yourself that. He's on a completely different lvl now vs when he was with us.
This year is is best statistic year ever - however his highest before this were still with the rams in 2017 and 2018.

Completely different level is quite a bit of hyperbole.

His ability to process is on a different level imho.

However, you can still beat Goff with an inside rush.

That is his one huge weakness.

I will say that Goff is the third or 4th best pocket passer in the game today behind Mahomes and Stafford (Burrow is up there). Does that make him 4th or 5th on the list? I don't know to be honest. We have some really good out of the pocket QBs today. Josh Allen is definitely in the top 3.

And even if this thread turns into another long ass Goff thread, that is going to be my last post on the subject.

One question, game on the line one drive, who you taking Stafford or Goff?

Stafford ALL day for me....

Goff is fine, he aint a SB winning QB.

Goff doesnt beat TB in Tampa the year we won the SB.

So you're telling me a player in year 9 isn't a better player than he was in year 2-3? Really?

I didn't say he wasn't better..

You said "completely different level"

That's what I call hyperbole.

okay, I guess you’re right. The Lions roster has very little to do with Goff’s success. :eyeroll:
We can say that about every qb I'm the league or have you not noticed our downward spiral since our sb when?

Going by that logic Stafford was same qb he was in 2011 then he was in 21. We both know that wasn't the case. He was also on a completely different lvl then he was a decade prior.

So it’s not Goff then?

I see the same guy who has more confidence in his line. But I also see the same guy that isn’t good when he feels pressured and the need to avoid it.

We saw it in the playoffs last year. First half, no pressure, 3 TDs. Second half, pressure no TDs.

Come on fellas. Goff can certainly win a Super Bowl. Many, many quarterbacks have one a SB, some multiple who are not as good a player as Goff.
I would have still been a happy Rams fan had we kept him.

He's a big part of it. Their Injuries are worse than ours yet look at the record difference and he's the common denominator. So he's doing something right obviously. We'll just agree to disagree. No point in going back and forth because we're not gonna come to a middle ground on this.
