Schedule or looking towards 2025 ?
For Me? Neither.

I still want the 2024 Rams to be the best they can be in 2024.

I am frustrated and disappointed up to now but only one game separates the four NFC West teams; and each one pretty much controls it's own destiny. I'm still hopeful; and, while I look at the 2025 Draft prospects to get a sense which positions have talent and depth, my primary focus is on the New Orleans Saints.

If the Rams miss the Playoffs with eight or nine wins, they figure to draft between 14-16 overall.

If they make the Playoffs with nine or ten wins but get beat in the Wild-Card-Round, it would be around 18-22.

Would you really prefer the Rams miss the Playoffs and draft #15 than make the Playoffs and draft at #20?
Yes. The 3 to 6 players selected from 15-22 are worth more than playing one extra game into the season.

OK ... you and Ram Ts have what I consider to be a very interesting take.

Personally, I do not agree.

I have some wonderful memories of borderline-Rams' playoff-teams making the post-season; and then, surprisingly, playing-well. Sometimes that experience can help propel a team and its younger players into greater heights in the future.

To me its all about the playoffs. The consolation prize for missing the playoffs is a few picks higher. I will always prefer a playoff spot over that. I don't want to be one of those fans who never get to experience playoff football. I'd gladly take playoffs every year over a few spots higher every year.

That's fair. I know it's a pretty divided topic. For me, a wildcard exit is basically not making the playoffs. I'd take the better draft position in that sense. Heck, trading into the top 10 even is easier at 15 than 22.

Possible things to look forward to:

1. Sweeping the Niners
2. Winning the division
3. Winning a home playoff game

These are all achievable.

Number one shuts up the niner fans for a long while (who owns the winning streak now?).

Number two means four of eight division titles in the McVay Era.

Number three is another awesome fan experience that I will attend (undefeated in postseason games at SOFI).

Don't tell me the odds.

That's a good take too for sure. I'm in the long term thinking. If it's not a contender let's add the best possible players

But...if it means missing out on free agents or becoming a not-as-desirable destination because players know you're willing to sacrifice a season for a higher draft pick , is it really a benefit to the team?
I think not.

How would they know? I'm just saying I'd rather have a higher draft pick than play in one playoff game. I'm not saying the Rams will do that though.

Who The F” wants THE RAMS to LOSS ?? WTF is that about ??

Crazy to think some RAM FAN is cheering for DRAFT PICKS !!

This team has a chance to actually do more than win just one extra game as well if running on full cylinders.

Look at last season. The Rams actually lucked out to get Jared Verse as well.

I will always take a playoff appearance, we never know how msny years we have left to enjoy it.

Unfortunately, this team hasn’t showed any inkling of having what it takes to win the division.

Buffalo and @ SF look like very tough wins. Even NO looks like a challenge for the way they’re playing.

I’d be excited for them to prove me wrong.

Rams are definitely in it still, just looking at the standings. I just don't think they're gonna do a damn thing even if they get in. So for the rest of the sched I don't care if they lose. I never root against them, but there's a difference for me when I'm feeling that pressure for the team to get these December stretch wins. Not sweating it at this point.

Short term? Yeah, they could win this weak division and get a playoff game.

Long term? They need serious improvement at several positions.

Bright side? Some good young players, especially on the D line.

There are things to build on but I'm not sure the cut and paste offensive line is one of them. They have to figure that unit out.

Look where there
Investment is ?? Yeah - sure

The Rams have drafted so well lately that I wouldn't be worried about a difference of a few picks in the middle of the first.

We play to win the game.

No matter what the record or season outlook, it is always time to look at the draft IMO. Draft is one of the most enjoyable parts of football.

Winning this division, this year should not make anyone satisfied. I have higher expectations for this team.
You have to look at each season reasonably - last year and this year we are a borderline playoff team, that can sometimes play the big dogs close.

But we do not have the full roster together yet to be a serious contender.

Next year could be the window with a couple big moves.
