There is no easy solution. I think with a decent O-line, he might see the field better, but he still needs to improve in these situations. He can be better, and he should be. When the O-line gives him time and there's a WR open for a touchdown, he needs to find him and make the throw.
You mean kinda like he did in the Superbowl.
You're reletively new here, so do me a favor and resurrect one of your positive threads, cuz I don't recall ever seeing one.

I’m telling ya if Tua retires or is out indefinitely, I expect the Dolphins to send what they hope is a low 1st to the Rams for Jimmy G

I don't know Mac. Even if Miami looks to make a trade (very possible), I don't think a 1st round pick would be necessary to acquire a good veteran back-up.

Garoppolo is certainly a good veteran back-up but he is not the only one; and Miami would likely have options. Assuming that's the case, it becomes a buyer's market and the Dolphins would not have to surrender a high pick.

Right, wouldn't you rather talk to the Falcons about their Cousins/Penix situation?

Bradford set the market years ago and after paying Hill and Ramsey among others, they can’t wait a year for a QB.
It’s a fit for the Fins.Look at Minnesota as an example of a backup QB who can win. Jimmy G has a better track record as well.

Raiders are fucking idiots. He has value as a mediocre starter in the WCO with big game experience. That is a certainty, and it is far more than what Willis had going on in the moment he was moved.
O'Connell was 100x better than JG in that offense
Look, I'm fine with JG as our backup, but he is what he is. Oft injured 33 year old who washed out of his last 2 starting gigs.
If they want to flip him for a 6th or 7th round pick, I don’t see the sense of it but after E Jones trade I don’t try to figure it out

In my eyes the Dolphins bent us over a barrel with Ramsey. It’s time to return the favor.

I'm of the mind that Ramsey bent the Dolphins over the barrel. :laugh2:
Yes but he used lube, and that lube he used called gasoline ignites with friction!

At best you get a conditional mid round pick that can improve a round or two if Jimmy gets them to the playoffs.

Miami is in the same predicament the Rams were in in 2022. They went into the season without a capable backup.. They banked on the health of the QB over 16 games, which is foolish for a contending team. I couldn't understand how any contender ever ignores the backup QB position. One injury and you get last years Rams vs Packers debacle. You turn winnable games into sure losses.

The Rams finally took backup QB seriously and now people want them to trade that guy, and to go back to keeping their fingers crossed that Stafford stays healthy, for a draft pick? One hit could put the Rams in Miami's position if they trade Jimmy Garapolo. Its not worth the risk, as tempting as it may be.

Agree.
Just making the point that ... if Miami wants to trade for a veteran back-up, there are a number of options; and that drives the cost in draft capital down.

They traded for Willis before their starter went down. So they traded for a back up.

In this case the Dolphins are desperate to find a starter. So they will have to give up more. Now as I stated earlier, at best you get back a 5th or 4th that can elevate a round or so if Garrapolo reaches certain performance levels, playoffs, etc...

Except for the fact we had a legit starter. They have Tua. I still don't think that dude is ever gonna win shit at this level. He's just another guy at QB, meaning just another limited passer who requires a dominant run game to get the job done.
