I’d rather hear it from Stafford, coming from his wife is gossipy and probably will work against Stafford in the locker room.

But, I get it, too many people don’t know how to connect, can’t live without being plugged in.

Events sound great, social stuff outside the locker room seems like a good way to connect but unless they make a rule about turning off the phone it won’t change things.

Yeah I don't understand why this is a thing that's being reported or even discussed. I thought it was funny myself and kind of relatable to the guy. Big fuckin deal he doesn't know some players who are getting cut today.

Young folks are fucking morons with their phones. Have you tried having a conversation with a twenty-something year old lately? It makes you want to pull your damn hair out of your head. It literally makes you NOT want to converse with them, I can't stand these disrespectful little bastards anymore. Now with that being said, I'm sure it is difficult to cultivate a working relationship between some of the vets and young players, but Kelly should have just kept this quiet, we all know it.

She is such a FREAKING BIMBO!! That whole thing about Matthew Stafford retiring was the topping of the cake.

This is out of my league & paid grade.He has dealt with this for his whole career (drama) from his wife.

This is just his wife bullshitting in a wifely manner. Sharing some minor stuff with good intent then boom media swoops in to make storylines out of it.

It is what it is. He's an older QB that of course is dealing with the younger generations. This is probably something all older QBs deal with (and have always dealt with) but ours happens to have a wife with a show who shared it. Also and btw saying she should avoid certain topics fuck that. Do your show how the fuck you want to Mrs Stafford. Let the media asswipes do their thing.

It is just sad to me that the average person used to be intelligent enough to read between the lines on things like this but nowadays there's an entire generation that on one hand googles and defines everything but on the other hand somehow fails to grasp the meaning of anything. But maybe I'm just an irritated old bastid.

Meanwhile, from all reports and what I have seen on Hard Knock.... ARod is getting on famously with the young players there.

Regardless, it is now a distraction that this young team didn't need...

OTOH, maybe this somehow brings the team together... I don't know.... Just a bad look to me.
 
The Rams currently have only 5 players over the age of 29.

Now I’m feeling old!

I can't stand her. What's this the 3rd or 4th time she's opened her big mouth that started some sort of negative rumor? He just needs to tell her to keep his damn name out of her mouth. lol. But seriously, she sucks.

I dunno maybe I’m in the minority but I actually think this will endear Stafford to the younger guys even more. This shows he genuinely cares about wanting to connect with them and be a better leader. Making it seem like it’s a bad thing that he’s trying to learn everybody’s name is a weird clickbaity thing to do. There have been several instances in NFL history where the veteran QB has said something like “it’s not my job to mentor these guys”. Now that’s usually referring to a younger QB that was just drafted, but still. It’s clear he understands the importance of chemistry and connection. I thought the mic’d up segment of him at practice was a great window into how much teaching he’s going to be doing this season.
