AD to the Pittsburgh Steelers for their first and third in 2024, and a conditional second in 2025 (turns into a first if Donald gets twelve sacks or the Steelers make the playoffs).

Stafford to the Atlanta Falcons for 2024 second and third and 2025 third.

Rob Havenstein to the Miami Dolphins for 2024 third.

Ahkello Witherspoon to whatever team needs help with cornerbacks for 2024 fourth.

Joseph Noteboom for 2024 seventh.

Brian Allen for 2024 seventh.

Derion Kendrick for 2024 sixth.

Tyler Higbee (I know we just signed him, but he's doing NOTHING to justify it.) for 2025 fourth.

Brycen Hopkins for 2026 seventh.

Michael Hoecht for 2025 sixth.

Jonah Williams for 2025 seventh.

Earnest Brown IV for 2026 seventh.

John Johnson III to for 2025 sixth.

Demarcus Robinson for conditional 2025 seventh.

Let's just tear it the fuck down.

With Stafford even more hurt, that changes the calculus. No buying. We should sell.

I feel like a Huge Jerk/Rams Traitor but personally I think the Rams should FREE Aaron Donald and let him either finish his career with the Steelers or to a Contending Team!! Been a Rams Fan for about 60 years and an Aaron Donald Fan ever since he got drafted by the Rams and it pains me to even make this thought but at this time it just seems like the right thing to do (Let Aaron Donald end his career playing for titles and hopefully the Rams could get something in return from a trade that could help the Rams with their Rebuilding Process!)! Hopefully, A Short Term Rebuilding Process!!!

It shouldnt matter whether or not the Rams are out of playoff contention, if they covet one of the players they should get him. Its a crapshoot to think they can compete for services in free agency. Instead, secure your guy, see how the season plays out and then sign long term or franchise tag.
The key word here is *If* they covet one
I totally agree with this and I'd like to add I don't understand why we need to keep our "draft capital" if we would be going after a young proven commodity to help build quick. Why do I need to throw darts and fail if there's a chance to get proven talent I'm all for taking that chance.

Because of Chase Young’s injury history. It makes paying what he will want a bit hard to agree to.

I still try and trade for Sweat, or Young.

It'd be a 2nd or 3rd and you can sign them to an extension.

You're jump starting this off-seasons process, giving up a Day 2 pick for more talent then you'll get there, and get them extended before seasons end and don't have to get into an open market bidding war.

Also, would give AD help.. I get the sense via what his wife puts on Twitter that he's growing extremely frustrated.

Trading away players will cause huge dead cap hit for 2024
Stafford: $55 mill Cap Hit
Donald: $28.5 mill Cap hit
Kupp: $27 mill Cap hit

I agree completely. But the Rams keep doing it. Fuck that dead cap! IE - Ramsey, Floyd, Goff, Gurley, etc.

I'd love chase young but I never mentioned him specifically in that comment my point is I will take a proven "young" commodity over worrying about draft capital. I still have flashbacks of Greg Robinson!!!!

If the Cowboys were to add AD to that front they would have the kind of rush nobody can stop.

Steelers problem is their offense is shit. So more I think about it the more I figure my preference would be another ring as retirement is close and maybe this time punch out on top.

In my opinion most of the trade speculation ... while understandable ... is fruitless because it fails to consider the Negative salary cap implications to the Rams.

Players that are 1 or 2 years into large extensions are almost impossible to trade without getting burned by Dead-Money.

Trading players like Stafford, Kupp, Donald, Higbee and Havenstein would result in large amounts of Dead-$ that count against the salary cap. The Rams don't have the cap space to take-on Dead-$ this season (they already have $75+M of Dead-$). They don't want to take on Dead-$ for 2024 because it will hinder their ability to up-grade the roster.

As to the posts suggesting the Rams need to be in a "Sell Mode" ... I don’t know who they have to sell.
Is there anyone they could trade that would get back more than a late round pick swap?

Based on the Dallas game I assume will not be buyers but we should if one of the key upgrades we need. We need a LT upgrade, C upgrade, big upgrade at CB and OLB if we can get one of these at LT Brown from NE and one the 4 names of OLB we constantly here Hunter, Burns, Sweat or Young we should.
