Stupid move- geno smith older but probably better than Darnold.

Darnold had one good year where he was horrible at the end.

Rest of his career he has been bad.

Don't forget the Vikings were stacked @ WR and TE. and Darnold still had a ton of issues. The Seacocks are not stacked at any playmaking position. It's hilarious what the Seahawks are doing, I get making a team your own but they are completely cleaning house of talent and replacing the talent with lesser talent. What a dumpster fire.

Even funnier, the word Seacock is now added to a my chrome dictionary.

Their OL is also worse. According to nextgen stats Geno faced the highest quick pressures rate(below 2.5 sec) of any QB the past 3 seasons.

And according to espn, the Vikings had the 2nd highest pass block win rate in the league (70%). Seattle was 21st (58%)

Darnold was horrible in 4 games last year, the talent at WR carried him in the other games. I guess sheattle figured if the Rams are going to sack their QB 5+ times a game they should sign someone that has experience. Even our division opponents are making our off season exciting.

14 wins is an achievement regardless of whether he had a good offense around him. He's not a top echelon QB, but I think he's moved into that starter group who need run game support, which he was not a member of before.

Seahawks are about their defense. MacDonald doesn't want to run a passhappy scheme, he's a Ravens mentality coach off the Harbaugh tree. So they'll have a strong defense and give their QB a complementary run game.

I expect this draft will be trenches for them too. They probably go OL early, they need trenches help more than weapons. I'm sure we beat them 2x this year but their defense should improve again and they're a division opponent so they'll be tough games.

Still good timing. They are reloading potentially with draft picks. I don’t see much they can do in FA. But I also don’t pay attention to what they have in the wings.

Their defense may improve dramatically but it wasn’t enough last year with most likely a much better offense.

Without a doubt. I just don't think their QB moves amount to much, and I'm sort of sad I won't be able to laugh at Metcalf throwing tantrums on the sideline when we're beating them.

If I was building that team what I'd be doing right now is building the hell out of the OL to handle our defensive front. Feels like that's what they're doing. They're most likely a year out though, in terms of matching up with us. Unless they really get lucky in the draft.

And those draft picks are in a draft lacking of stars. I couldn’t be happier. Right now, the Rams clearly look like the top NFC west team.

People see two bad games from him his oline and his coach and want to ignore all the rest. I don't think this is a good spot for him but I get a team going for him.
