I’m NOT disagreeing with the last part. I’m just not so quick to agree with the first part.
—when he stops choking away 10 point, 4th qtr leads, I’ll give his offensive acumen some credit. What I see is a lot of double digit wins and a poor record in close games—including all of those 4th qtr chokes. His offensive playcalling has a lot to do with that.
Yeah i guess we’re splitting hairs on that. I think his playcalling is top notch. His offensive system allows average players to excel.

His overall (momentum) game management from a playcallers POV is lacking. I think we agree. ?

I for one would be very happy to see him gone from San Fran. He might be a choke artist, but I agree he is an excellent offensive coach. I kind of view him like Andy Reid in Philly, made offense from scraps and choked in big games. Hopefully Shanahan will be coaching elsewhere if/when he ever figures it out

SB51. 28-3 lead. Zero 4th quarter points
SB54. 20-10 lead. Zero 4th quarter points
2021 NFCCG. 17-7 lead. Zero 4th quarter points.

Yeah, even as just a fan and hater of the shitters. I can watch a game from a neutral position and noticed that rat boy's play calling in tight games has been suspect.

His best chance to beat the "choker" label was in their last super bowl, but like Garapollo, Purdy was unable to make the clutch throw that would have swung the game in their favor.

I was curious since I'm headed for Vegas before the 2025 draft. So I looked at the Super Bowl futures.

The shitters are +1400 and the Rams are +2000 to win the super bowl. I wonder how they figured that out?

It is as much about what teams they know people will lay money on.
Will the Whiners attract more money? Yes.
Do they (Casinos) think they are winning the Super Bowl? No.
But, presenting odds that are designed to attract money is as much of the process as actually assigning value to teams.

They really need to create a separate cap number for QBs... 5 yrs from now when we may have to pay hopefully a future star. For now let the Niners choke on Purdy's deal for a few more years.
Id them to cap QB pay actually.
It is ri-fing-diculous at this point.

I think it's better to make teams choose how much they want to pay these dudes. If they can't control themselves then we'll see how much investment in the position you can get away with and be able to win it all.
