Leave it to you to bring a little class and culture to us dimwitted dolts.

He should make sure he's in camp day one. If the Rams hit on his selection he's going to be talking contract with them after his first two seasons, given that he's on a four year. So get your oversized ass in there and get to work on being great.

A little under 10 mil for 4 years? appx 7mil for 3, make a deal and move on.
Lets go!

As part of the working force I tend to side with labor. My guess is the players union has had some influence in this.

One guy got guarantees so the other 31 must too? I've been on both sides, labor and management, though they both want what's best for their side, there comes a point where you say "here's a fair deal" and both sides agree. All it takes is one second round pick to tell his agent, "enough, let's sign" and it'll be like dominos. Ferguson doesn't have to be the one who starts it, just one of the dominos.

Another reason for him to sign his contract is that he just got married last weekend to his high school sweetheart and she wants that money!
Thing is, they'll get paid upfront with a healthy signing bonus (approx 3-4 mill), & 1st 2 years guaranteed. The money in question would be the salary of years 3 & 4
It's not even about how much, that is pretty much pre-determined.

i think the pay scale is pretty well determined already, so a guarantee is moot...

here's why ..

anytime this much money is involved an INSURANCE POLICY is a must... to much injury risk in the NFL...

so if you're not stupid, you're covered...

sign... now... get on with life

go rams

Trade his ass to Cleveland. "Hey Terrence a few more years and they will have a dome there." I would not be a good negotiator when it comes to players.
Tell 'em to get a second job in the offseason if he wants more gtd cash. There's never been a day when a TE was worth a hundred grand... ~ @den-the-coach /Dan Klosterman

These second round picks are deserving of the same things that the every other second round pick has gotten over the years.. nothing!
Where's the GIF of Michael Corleone? "My offer is this... nothing".

Yeah sure - ask Brock Purdy??

I guess the best example of a 2nd pick on The Rams was Tru Johnson. He sure got PAID !!

Then there’s Kurt Cousins as a 4th rd pick.Compare his NFL Earnings over ANY PLAYER in his ERA !! I’d say easily a Top 10 $$$ Money Earner, maybe be close to All Time ?

BTW - that’s me talking out my AZZ,not the salary guy. That works itself out & Demoof doesn’t always do it the best, but now a days The Rams have only gotten better with the salary cap.

Too much bullshit with rookies these days. You are in the first year of a new job, haven't done a thing in the league yet and don't know squat. Get your college ass out there and take some lumps, do something, then say pay me!

So 2 years ago, the Rams broke new ground and guaranteed 3 years + 10% of year 4 on their second-round pick. Then last year the Rams went 3 years +15% guaranteed on year 4 on their second-round pick.

Now, Ferg expects 4 full guaranteed? Yeah, probably not worth that. Somewhere between 15% and 100% on year 4 should work. But after that arbitrator found that the NFL "encouraged" collusion to reduce guaranteed money, it makes perfect sense that this second round guaranteed money issue would be the battleground that the NFLPA would want to fight on.

Sounds like collusion, not sure how that would work out for the players if all of the teams hold the line.
