Thought I’d post this to help Puka:

More than the catches, more than the yards, the stat that jumps out at me ... 15 targets. 15. That number means he was consistently getting open. In his very first NFL game.

Just wow.
Yeah for him to step in to Kupp's role in carrying the offense in game one of his rookie season is impressive as hell. If you recall Kupp wasn't exactly Kupp in week one of his rookie season. He was good and his game translated right away but he was not the beast he became.

I think Nacua has benefitted from Stafford and Kupp teaching him nuance in that role. But it still comes down to him executing it which is really something to see in his first game. My only concern with Nacua at this point is can we keep him healthy. Also it feels good to have a backup to Kupp. We have not had that prior when he's gone down and there's a definite difference in this offense as a result.

He seemed to grow during the game. Making all sorts of catches.. he’s a HAND catcher, unlike Jefferson.., and he’s pretty big.

I’m just asking myself if there’s anything other than injury that’s gonna derail him.

And.. I CAN’T WAIT to see the 3WR sets with him, Kupp & Tutu.

Stafford had him for a big gain on the ill fated flea flicker in the first half too. Maybe even a touchdown depending on where Stafford puts it. I yelled in frustration when I saw that play busted.

not sure why twitter videos aren't loading anymore and just giving a link.

If he consistently gets open like that, teams are going to have to actually start adjusting their game plan for him.

What the hell are they going to do when Kupp comes back and those two are on the field at the same time?

Kupp had 4 receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown, and that was with Woods already on the team.

So who loses the most snaps when Kupp comes back between TuTu, Van or Puka? I know they all will a lose some but who loses the most I'm guessing TuTu.

we got to see basically a cooper clone. the eye test was, "this looks like cooper out there. amazing!" hats off to the ram's front office. go rams.

I think he's far more a Woods clone than a Kupp clone... for that to be the case we'd need to see him run a series of choice routes from the F spot. Which I don't believe he did. In fact, a lot of Kupp's game was missing from our offense, but we still did quite well (Higbee even did an impression of him for a second on one choice route!).

A clone of a young Woods is great though.

I would think Van.

Atwells speed and hands should give him the nod over Van.

There should still be room for Van and Skow, though.

Yeah this is tough. Atwell can take some snaps at X but I think what we really want is him in the role he was in Sunday where I think he played the F a lot, which is Kupp's spot. But Atwell and Van splitting time at X and Atwell and Nacua splitting time at Z is probably what happens.

I just don't know how much Nacua can play X and it doesn't not seem like we've really tried him there.

Some receiver's gotta be on the line of scrimmage and in a perfect world, that would be Jefferson. I think when you put any of the other 3 at the line of scrimmage you reduce playing to their strengths a bit.

So if Puka plays 13 seasons injury free yesterdays numbers project him to pass Jerry Rice's career receiving yards by 4000 yards. Of course if those numbers project his career he will have zero TD's in his career. I guess you can't base it on one game.
